-Israeli media reported  that  In recent days, Rav Eliya Ber Wachtfogel  Rosh Yeshiva of Zichron Moshe in South Fallsburg has been working to convene leading Talmidei chachomim and roshei yeshiva in Eretz Yisrael to voice their position on the emerging conscription law. he reportedly held phone conversations with  Rav Aviezer Piltz of the Tifrach Yeshiva, Rabbi Dovid Cohen of the Chevron Yeshiva, and Rav Chaim Feinstein of the Ateres Shlomo Yeshiva.

- Yuli Edelstein said he does not believe the Conscription Law will pass, adding that Netanyahu will not “commit political suicide” over it.

- Former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot said he would not support what he called a “draft-evasion law,” warning that the proposed Charedi conscription bill is a historic mistake that endangers Israel’s security. He delivered his remarks during meetings of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

- A recent pashkevil criticized what it described as a double standard in the public’s reaction to military-related arrests: while a large protest was organized when a bochur from an Ashkenazi yeshiva was jailed, there has been little public response to the current arrest of a Sephardi yeshiva student. The notice argues that this disparity reinforces concerns that Sephardi bochurim may unfairly bear the burden of meeting quotas under the proposed IDF draft bill.

- Giyus: Top Knesset lawyer: draft bill falls short, won’t meet army demands
A draft proposal would allow up to 10% of annual conscripts to serve in agencies such as the Prison Service, Shin Bet, Mossad, and the police. Miri Frenkel-Shor, the legal adviser to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, told members Monday that counting national civil‑security service toward draft quotas, as currently proposed, does not meet security requirements and cannot easily be included in the targets.

- Giyus: Likud MK Ariel Kalner stated, “I am not unequivocally declaring that I will vote for the Bismuth enlistment law. The law does not fully reflect the aspirations of myself and many of my colleagues, and there are corrections that need to be made.”

    1. If you are student of history, in situations like these Jewish people have never directly tried to fight the authorities. Instead, they self deported to other countries. In the history of Yiddishkeit, I can't think of one instance where people publicly rioted and blocked streets because they were upset at the authorities.

    2. We will also be saved from chachamim like you.

    3. Thank you for making it clear to the Zionists. They read everything you say carefully (it’s amazing how those reshoim know about Hefkervelt) and they are extremely nisragesh from everything you say carefully

    4. You can make whatever declarations you want but the reality is a large percentage of those studying in yeshivos have no interest in staying and learning but rather to get out and make money. It's obvious to one and all so claiming that they are destroying Torah is nonsense they could probably take hundreds if not thousands and not one less blat will be learned. If all those were that serious at their learning the army would not want them in any case sad reality!

    5. they self deported

Don't you love the paid trolls talking/lying down to us.

Self-deporting doesn't work when they're not letting the bachurei Hashem (BOCHURIM) leave and are arresting them at the airport. Sounds a lot like the USSR.

  4. Shocking to me how MAGA falsehoods have become so mainstream. Our attitude towards migrants is sick. ICE should be a stark reminder for how our own ancestors were treated when they tried escaping war torn Europe. Instead, we celebrate the beatings of landscapers citing ridiculous falsehoods. Immigrants where always at the forefront of the American economy. Capitalism is fundamentally rooted in having a top and bottom. Those jobs on the bottom were always immigrants. This hate filled agenda is senseless and not based on economics or safety. Its a hatred for those nonwhite Americans - a hatred that comes from Carlson and Feuntas. Besides being anti torah its stupid to cheer this on. We are next.

    1. Your comparing this to what we experienced during the Holocaust is pathetic and undermines your entire argument.
No one is killing them! They are being sent back home after coming here illegally.
This nation is built on law and order. If someone speeds they get a ticket, if they get too many tickets the have their license suspended. If someone cheats on his taxes he can face jail time. That is the way a legal system works.
Why should these immigrants be different
Yes, I feel bad for them, they poor and are only trying to make a better life for themselves but you can't enforce the law on 1 group and leave the other group to do whatever they want

    2. The comparison is to the years before the Holocaust, as public opinion turned to view immigrants as the danger to society, culminating in Breckenbridge Long.

Right now, there is a huge number of voters in the US who are being persuaded that all of their problems stem from immigrants, brown people, those 'other' guys, for some imagined infraction. The immigrant who staffs a hospital saves more lives than the one or two who commit crimes. Yet people are all heated up about the low crime rate in their community.

When people cheer on this kind of behavior, we are expressing and practicing the bad middos of kin'ah and sin'ah, which spills over into our entire lives.

    3. 12:50 I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you. I will say that if you believe that the only reason some people in the frum community oppose immigration is because "MAGA falsehoods have become so mainstream" then you are the brainwashed one. Believe what you want about immigration. Try to understand and respond to the opposing view with believing it is all about hate. Your argument would be a lot more effective that way

    4. I don't see anyone in our community cheering this on, everyone supports Trump for other reasons

    5. i am glad someone has the guts to say this. Our ancestors were escaping hate and were illegally moving across Europe. Being caught and sent back was a death sentence. Trump promised to deport the criminals. This is not what we voted for. This will cause the Republicans the mid term elections and the next presidential election.

    6. Our ancestors were escaping hate. We don't need to import some of the potential perpetrators into the US. How is all the immigration working out for the Yidden in France and England? Do we need more Mamdanis, Talibs and Omars in elected office in the US?

    7. 12:50 7:50 is a shrill for billionaire crony robbers who want cheap immigration to fill their coffers .

  5. The great fuss about one bochur was done by his Rosh Yeshiva.

If Sefardi Roshei Yeshiva don't kick up fusses about their talmidim, they shouldn't blame the Ashkenazim

But I am not sure many of these bochurim who were arrested were actually learning in Yeshiva. Which is why no fuss was made about it.

  7. Another fake letter to the Lakewood community about 750 kids supposedly losing funding for a few months and then a “big askan” magically fixing it in one day. Do they really think the olam is foolish enough to fall for this kind of PR nonsense? It’s embarrassing that the RSCK put out such a letter.
