ReplyDeleteOne correction, it's not minhag Lakewood to light then. As a matter of fact this only started in the last year or two of Rav Aharon's life and was strictly meant for the talmidei hayeshiva (and was recommended by Rav Moshe Heineman Shlit"a), to accommodate the various minhagim and not disturb second seder. Rav Aharon himself did NOT light then, he lit at shkia, which is minyag Lita, and held those that have the minhag (al pi shulchan aruch) to light at tzeis should keep their minhag. It's unbelievable how quickly facts get rewritten.
