Traffic Changes on Clifton Avenue in Lakewood

The traffic light at First Street and Clifton Avenue has been deactivated to a flashing yellow. It was not synced and caused backups.

The confusing intersection of 10th Street and Clifton avenue now has a 4 way stop sign in addition to 2 turning lanes and drivers going North also must bear to the right in order to go straight.

  1. The intersection is confusing and dangerous. 6 access points with a 4 way stop sign how does that make sense if both left turns get to the intersection at the same time who goes first?

    1. Agree 100%. They’ve over simplified it. Now that they put a four way stop sign, they NEED to get rid of the arrows. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

  4. Is it so difficult for people to read the signs and follow the instructions?
