NWS: Uncertainty in the Amount of snow, 2- 3 Inches expected for Lakewood, Toms River

There is still some uncertainty in the track of the storm system. If the storm tracks closer to the coast, the impacts would be greater. There is 10% chance we could see a total of 8" for the Jersey shore, but not likely.  Snow is expected late this afternoon into Tuesday morning. Highest amounts are expected across portions of northern, central, and eastern New Jersey, as well as portions of northeast Pennsylvania. Other parts of our area are expected to see some snow, but lesser amounts. Currently the Northern Ocean county can see 2- 3 inches.

שלום אוחנונו ז"ל at Center of Brain Death Case in Toronto, Passed away Erev Shabbos

CTV News Canada TORONTO -- An Orthodox Jewish family that launched a legal battle to keep their son on life support after he was declared brain dead said the man's heart had stopped, rendering him dead in their view, but they continued to seek a judge's ruling in the case that pitted religious values against medical guidelines.
Shalom Ouanounou's family, who held a funeral for him Friday, hopes a decision in the case sets a precedent that could save other parents the pain they have experienced, their lawyer Hugh Scher said. "(Ouanounou's mother) does not want to see another mother experience what she has had to experience," he said. "She wants to see the courts recognize a form of religious accommodation ... in the determination of death in a way that is respectful of the family of the individual and the individual's beliefs."

Ouanounou was ruled neurologically dead by doctors at Humber River Hospital in September 2017, after the 25-year-old Toronto man suffered a severe asthma

The (Anti) Vaccine Coalition

Dear Friends,
B’siyata D’shmaya we have formed The Vaccine Coalition, a Coalition of Non-Vaccinating Parents in Lakewood, New Jersey.

This coalition was founded by R’ Malkiel Kotler shlit”a, R’ Shmuel Meir Katz shlit”a and R’ Refael Szmerla shlit”a, and it aims to address the current pressing issue of schools rejecting or dismissing non-vaccinated children. It will also be available to help non-vaccinating parents in Lakewood in any area we feel we can, as well as to provide support of ‘strength in numbers’ to pro-vaccine choice Lakewood families.
This coalition depends on a collective voice and will not be launched until we reach a minimum of 250 families. If you live in Lakewood and have made a decision not to vaccinate your children, we encourage you to please take a few moments to sign up to join the coalition, for your benefit, and for the benefit of all other Lakewood families like yourselves.

Not a Purim Joke

Submitted.
It was on erev Purim this year, literally when thousands of yidden in America were going shul to hear megillah leining 6:30 pm to be exact. A time of achdus, a time to fight Haman in his attempt to separate us when he claimed עם אחד מפוזר ומפורד. It was shocking to see a post on a frum news website that claims to represent the Yeshiva world, taking advantage of a not well reporting  individual publicizing his picture and name writing a bad article about him in an attempt to defame and bashmutz him and those he associates with. This individual is by no means a public figure and didn't bother or hurt anyone its quite disgusting that this news site used him constantly as a poster boy to embarrass and poke fun at the Peleg Protesters in Eretz Yisrael.

Had any other website done this we would all scream  how its Anti Semitic. This is totally uncalled for and has no place in our circles. if the editors disagree, it is not a license to publicly shame this boy and his family.
Unfortunately, on social media people get their kicks taking advantage of people that are not well. May we continue to have the spirit of purim be with us with friendship and simcha.
