- Lakewood Tax increase wont go down because of land sales.. While Lakewood residents are facing a significant property tax increase, the township is also set to receive approximately $28 million from the sale of airport property to CHEMED for its planned medical village. While residents wonder why those proceeds can't be used to offset the township's budget deficit and reduce the tax burden. According to a Lakewood official, as reported by The Voice of Lakewood, because the property belonged to the airport and was acquired with federal aviation funding, federal regulations require that the proceeds remain dedicated to airport purposes. The money must be used within the airport system, such as replacing runways, improving infrastructure, or constructing airport-related facilities, rather than being deposited into the township's general fund.

- A New NJ bill could potentialy shut out Teslas Vehicles from Jersey. S1677/A3968 would require every autonomous vehicle in New Jersey to use LiDAR and radar. ReplyDeleteI guess the Satmar Rebbe approves, cause the K family undoubtedly approves.
It's not just a matter of what they're using the land sale funds for but rather why are they sell and get on the cheap there's no other place in Lakeway where you can get 65 acres of prime real estate for 28 million. Same question for other land sales which went under the radar such as cedarbridge development
ReplyDeleteCheap land sales equals gezel harabim
ReplyDeleteIt has nothing to do with the airport, the LIC keeps all money under their control
ReplyDeleteThe lease money for blue Claws stadium doesn't go back to the tax payers it stays iin the LIC and pays for their salaries
All of their properties belong to Lakewood taxpayers.
This looks like theft of public funds controlled by a committee who don't all live in Lakewood
Why is this corruption allowed
We should not be proud that we have so many unzer sitting in Lakewood government as they ALL ARE CROOKS from the mayor to the head of the airport, all getting rich on OUR TAX MONEY!!!
ReplyDeleteThe 9 & main is another great stupidity of our Lakewood twp. They just should have put up a sign RIGHT TURN ONLY and hope for the best. Although there is now a 3rd lane for all the cars leaving BMG who want to make a left onto 88, but they STILL will have no way of getting across the first 2 lanes of traffic to the third lane!
ReplyDeleteThere is a sign there for over 15 years and no one listens
DeleteBrace yourselves for many more flats and accidents with the retarted improvement at 9 and main
ReplyDeleteAsking for a friend:
ReplyDeleteCan someone please explain respectfully why Prime Minister Netanyahu is incorrect for saying “After the elections, we will establish a broad national government that will immediately pass a comprehensive conscription law that meets the needs of the IDF. Anyone who is not studying Torah will be drafted, or go to prison”
“Anyone who is not studying Torah”
If you are not learning you get drafted.
What is wrong with that???
Stay in the Beis Medrash and shteig….
And if you can’t …. Layder you get drafted.
I think That was the policy under Rav Schach Ztzl
What changed?
Please reply respectfully. Without using words such as Tzyionim. Please make a rational argument without resorting to old cliches.
Tachlis: Why not?? You don’t learn … you get drafted. Simple. Why should shababnikim get deferments??
If the airport allowed the town to sell the property to chemed they obviously don't need it, the money should therefore go directly to Lakewood township this makes absolutely no sense.
ReplyDeleteIt should be investigated enough of these backdoor deals stealing our tax money
