    1. Makes no sense they didn't realize how quick tickets would sell and it wasn't even available not on the internet.
It's good marketing but let's be honest and not play games with people

    1. Adirie Hatorah didn't buy a sponsorship on Matzav, so they aren't considered newsworthy.

  5. How are those who tragically died in Meron 'kedoshim'?
Those killed by goyim are Kedoshim, but dying in a natural accident is sad. But not kedoshim.

    1. Maskim. It's terrible. Probably comes from an inferiority complex vis a vis people getting killed in the army and terror attacks and also wanting it not to sound like chareidi negligence but rather in the service of some elevated cause

    2. Harugei Meron would be more appropriate.

    3. They were korbanos for klal yisroel and referred to as kedoshim in Eratz Yisroel

    4. How were they 'korbanos for Klal Yisroel'? Who gets to make that determination? Based on what?

The question was about EY, why did the media outlets in EY refer to them as Kedoshim? And why should we care about Israeli PR?

    5. Who decides that they are karbonos of klal yisrael?

    6. @ nb showing your ignorance at the age of the internet is really pathetic. Nothing of what I wrote is a cut and paste but fruits of intensive research on Mexican history and how HKBH was megalgel that thousands of Jews were saved when the USA closed their doors to Jewish emigration. The general Porfirio Diaz then a libera eventually became a dictator that triggered the Mexican revolution that destroyed the country . The president Alvaro Obregón seeing that plus an enemy of the church invited Jewish emigration from the Ottoman empire and Europe. The Franco Prussian war was the catalyst that brought the Dreyfus affair and also left with out protection the pope that was proctected by Napoleon the third . Like Rav Velvel z”l said there isn’t a nail that it’s not hit on its head in this world that the “ kavone” is Am yisroel. But ignorance is bliss Np and you have to be a very happy man

    8. The best way to honor those neshomos would have been to avoid the possibility of another tragedy. Not disregarding the danger and certainly not , given the security warnings, shlepping 3 year old kids for an Upsherin!

    9. To be fair I only skimmed the first half. It was really the Monroe doctrine which saved Mexico, though it'll be too much for the Mexicans to give the gringos credit

  6. Cinco de Maio is not a Mexican holiday. Never has been.

It's an American holiday created by beer companies. Buy your Mexican workers a case of cerveza to celebrate.

    1. It’s a Mexican holiday. All government offices are closed and now there is a military parade. There is no school. The celebration is that the Mexican army of the Republican government of Benito Juarez although smaller and in complete disarray beat the invading French army of Napoleon the third that was supporting the consvative government under Maximilian that was Frank Joseph’s brother. The battle was in the city of Puebla and General Zaragoza and Porfirio Diaz beat the French. Mexico lost the war. The French left as the war with Prussia was brewing already, leaving Maximilians empire only backed by the conservative Mexican army. Once the Americans were finished with their civil war they backed Benito Juarez that proceeded to beat Maximilian and the conservatives. Maximilian was killed in el cerro de las campanas by a firing squad. Benito Juarez didn’t pardon him . Maximilian was a ohev yisroel that had Jews in his court and was the fist open Jewish immigration to Mexico. Not Independence Day that is September 16 but definitely a holiday that impacted Jewish immigration from Europe to Mexico because of many reasons

    2. 3:56,
the problem with cutting and pasting is that inevitably you will be seduced into believing a left-leaning slant to every story, almost as if it were facts.
