Rumors swirling on social media and coffee rooms that President Trump might attend the siyum Hashas at Met-life stadium. According to reports in the Israeli press presidents son in law Jared Kushner has reached out to siyum organizers in Agudah on the possibility that Trump may show up to the event. These rumors have not been verified or dispelled, some even suggesting it was meant to increase sales and build up excitement.
It's hard to believe the President will spend New years day 2020 in a cold outdoor stadium while he can vacation and tweet from the comfort of his home in Florida, but with trump you are always one tweet away from a big surprise or in his own words, Fake News.

ReplyDeleteImagine the site of 90,000 black hatter's wearing the red MAGA baseball cap
ReplyDeleteFor purely technical reasons, like the gridlock a presidential visit causes, I hardly imagine that this will happen. Moreover, what would his connection be to the Siyum?
ReplyDeleteFake news! He's going to Dirshu!
ReplyDeleteThere is no way Trump would consider going unless he is being asked to speak.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way at all that he would be asked to speak at the Siyum HaShas.
It's more realistic to make up that Kushner asked if Trump can send a message and was told that this is an apolitical event if he sends a message we have to allow other politicians to and doing so would lose focus on what the religious nature of the event blah blah blah
