Petirah R"L of a 20 month old toddler after she was left in a vehicle this morning. Matzav.com was told that the child was supposed to have been dropped off at her day care this morning and was mistakenly forgotten in the vehicle instead.
NBC news. reports A law enforcement
source told News 4 the toddler’s mother tried to take her to daycare, but the toddler didn’t want to go in, so they drove home together At that point, there was a miscommunication about whether the toddler’s mother or father would bring the toddler in from the car, the source said.

The baby was treated by Hatzolah of Lakewood paramedics and then transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus on River Avenue, where her petirah was confirmed. Further information, including levayah details, will be provided once they are finalized.

With a change in weather and schedule Its  important to keep the safeguards and implement reminders you not to forget a child in the car. A good deterrent is for the Morah to call after a pre set time  if the baby does not come after 10:15 am.

  1. There was a suggestion requiring caregivers to call parents when a child doesn't show up as scheduled. If a parent is not bringing their child, the day care must be notified and it should be recorded to update other caregivers and lo aleinu, for the protection of the child and day care. This eitza has saved a number of babies and families from unspeakable tragedy.
