Rabbi will Continue to Hold Services Despite Arrest for Violating Coronavirus Rules

It looked like a scene out of a horror movie. I don’t condone the congregants yelling ‘Nazi’ and ‘gestapo,’ but it certainly reminded me of that,” Knopfler said. The ordeal was terrifying for the worshipers, including 13 children, Knopfler said, adding that his 17-year-old son was threatened with pepper spray.
"I don’t care about what officers say, they have no right to be in his backyard. It’s not Nazi Germany, it’s New Jersey,” Christopher Ferrara, a lawyer with the Thomas More Society who is representing Knopfler in the civil case, told NJ Advance Media.
NJ Advanced Media- ' The rabbi accused of violating Governor Murphy’s executive order against gatherings said he will continue to hold religious services in his backyard, despite his recent arrest.

“Absolutely,” Lakewood Rabbi Yisrael Knopfler said to NJ Advance Media on continuing to hold Orthodox Jewish prayer services in the backyard of his home. Knopfler is part of a lawsuit against the state of New Jersey over the ban on religious gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic, which he says unconstitutionally targets religions.
Knopfler, 44, was holding a ceremony with a large bonfire in his backyard Monday night when he was arrested for allegedly violating Executive Order 107, which bans groups of ten or more. He was also charged with resisting arrest and obstructing, court records show. Knopfler told NJ Advance Media there were about 40 people in his backyard for the ceremony, which he characterized as a "very harmless affair” with social distancing measures in place.

Important Points Regarding the New Pediatric Condition

From a Local pediatrician sent to his patients recently

Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome
But, as you may well have heard, over the last few weeks a new, potentially serious pediatric condition has emerged that caught doctors by surprise. The new formal name of the condition is “Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome Potentially Associated with COVID-19.” News reports have mistakenly called it "Kawasaki Disease."

Important Points Regarding the New Pediatric Condition

• It is rare.
• It is most probably an after-effect of the COVID-19 illness.
• It is not contagious and does not spread from person to person.
• Although it is a potentially serious condition, most children who
have had it have done well.

First, it is important to know that this condition is still rare. While many children with this condition have been hospitalized, and some required intensive care, the good news is that, to date, most children have done well.

This mysterious condition has presented with different patterns of illness. The common feature of this condition is a long-lasting high fever in a child
who feels and looks ill.

Great American Jewish Cities: Crown Heights

Jewish History Soundbites With Yehuda Geberer
One of the many Brooklyn neighborhoods that was a center of diverse Jewish life for decades, Crown Heights is also unique in many ways. From its pre war days and the first JCC in America, to the influx of Chassidic Jews in the post war, it boasted a variety of shuls, shtiebels and schools.
Bobov, Skulen, Novominsk, Radzin, Yeshiva of Eastern Parkway and Kollel Gur Aryeh were just some of the many groups and institutions who had a presence in the bustling neighborhood.
With the arrival of the Rayatz of Lubavitch in the United States in 1940, Chabad headquarters were

This includes hundreds of entire families as well as the many elderly or other high-risk individuals who effectively secluded themselves during the entire Pandemic.
