- Statement from the Office of President Obama:
"Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.
"Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. - Giyus: Up to 30 Yeshiva Bochurim from mainstream Litvishe yeshivos are currently in the process of enlisting to the IDF according to reports they are going through programs like 'Kodkod' or 'Yoav', and others through the Charedi tracks in warfare and intelligence. These are young men from yeshivahs like Wolfson, Torah B'Tiferatha, Chevron, Kamenitz, and even Poniewitz and Tifarach.
- 6 bochurim from Wolfson yeshiva have decided to enlist to the IDF , the Rosh Yeshiva told them: "The army doesn't want you and isn't waiting for you with open arms." the proof of this is that religious soldiers are sent more to the front lines and therefore fall in higher numbers, and he cited the case of the fall of 'Netzach Yehuda' soldiers as evidence for his words.
- Zoning Board Meeting Summary:
At last night’s zoning board meeting, after a lengthy and thorough application process, the board approved a proposal to build on four residential lots at the corner of Vine Street and Spruce Street. While board members acknowledged that traffic in Lakewood is already a serious concern, they stated this project is a lesser issue compared to other potential uses, such as a daycare center.
Several residents voiced strong objections, noting the plan requires 23 variances and highlighting the area's traffic dangers citing 60 car accidents at the intersection over the past five years and the presence of 200 buses passing daily. Despite these concerns, the board proceeded with approving the application.
A separate application for a Hatzolah building on E County Line rd was postponed after a neighbor, represented by legal counsel, objected on the grounds that the review had not been properly posted on the township’s website. In response, the board chairman dismissed the objection, stating that opponents would continue to find excuses to delay the project. but applicant agreed to postpone it
An application for a development on Lanes Mill Road originally proposed 74 units but was reduced to 72. The board approved the project with a condition: the applicant must build a shul on the first floor after receiving Certificates of Occupancy (COs) for 10 homes. The shul must be fully completed by the time 65 COs are issued. The board did not require a mikvah, citing the presence of an existing one approximately a mile away.

Speaker Johnson says he has no concern at all about bringing Former President Barack Obama in for a congressional deposition or subpoena over the newly declassified documents bombshell. "If it's uncomfortable for him, he shouldn't have been involved in overseeing this, which is what it appears to us has happened.
That's great news! While all Israeli teens will be in the army fighting, the yeshiva bachurim from Ponoviz will be out stopping traffic on the highways!!!
ReplyDeleteAbolish the draft. Problem solved.
DeleteWe're transporting 4500 students at a cost of 15.8million and 50,000 at a cost of 33 million. The crisis isn't the private schools, it's the public schools.
ReplyDeletethe 4,500 public school students include several hundred special needs children from the frum community (all of whom are registered public school students). their bussing costs about 20 times more per student than for a regular student. that is a big part of the 15.8 million
DeleteBH the Peleg bochurim will have some entertainment for Summer lol
ReplyDeleteThis is a tragic event 30 yeshiva bochurim from the top yeshivos looking to join the zionist army. They were persuaded by charedi leftists in the media and propagandists paid off by the shmad government.
DeleteWe in the US that continue to promote and glorifying the IDF have also contributed to this breach .
So much for all the fluff of MKY Judaism and sparks of a nation
MDY —-> bochurim joining the army and putting their life at risk..
DeleteYou feeling ok bud?
If you're afraid of what you call a shmad government, leave the country.
DeleteHow many gedolim left Eastern Europe (and Western Europe) for Russia (or Germany) or even the USA some even ending up in those armies.
Even Rav Chaim z'l served in Tzahal, his father in the Russian army.
How many Cantonists were physically given over by gedolim into the czar's army?
The blatant corruption in the township boards is palpable they make no attempt to even hide it. The chairman's disdain and mockery for those opposing applications is disgusting and he should be thrown off the board for it. They will hide agendas play shtick with not advertising the applications and help those who are well connected while a citizen who wants to protect his investment or quality of life is ridiculed by the board members.
ReplyDeleteThis behavior is unbecoming for public officials and the ones responsible for this corruption are the Mayor and Committee members
Lakewood community, it's time to throw the bums out!!
We don't deserve to be represented by those who have zero respect for humans are corrupt and not ehrlich
Not denying every application does not mean disdain for the public. There are many applications that may be opposed by the immediate neighbors, but the committee's job is the overall benefit and realities of the town, and not to the special interest of one neighbor.
DeleteI second the motion for throwing the bums out! They are, at best, unable, and at worst, unwilling to protect the interests of the average Lakewood citizen.
Delete11:47am
DeleteBurn, baby,burn!
Anon 12:25 are you on the board
DeleteThere's no mitzva for the zoning ro continue destroying lakewood especially when there's no conforming applications
WE NEED TO FIX THE FORMULA IN TOWNSHIP!!!!
DeleteHard to understand what these big urgent missionary warnings all over the local frum media are all about. I don't know a single frum kid that became a christian because he was exposed to this material. Mommy or Tottys smartphone on the other hand has harmed many, many kids. Maybe they should all issue urgent daily warnings about that, especially through the summer.
ReplyDeleteRight. Go make hafgonas all over the country. But then try convincing secular Israelis that bochurim belong in Yeshiva, not in fighting forces. What about all the talk they told us last November about not going to the rally in Washington that we don't go to rallies because our place and our Yeshua only comes from sitting in Beis Medrash. That is all out the window now?
ReplyDeleteBeing a sweet nice tamim hasn't generally been effective either
DeleteBeing a sweet nice tamim is certainly NOT going to stop those who want to draft Yeshiva Bochurim from trying to do so. But making hafgonas all over the country is only going to add to their numbers. And what is the exact Lomdus that makes all the endless talk about how sitting in Beis Medrash is the biggest protection and the only histadlus we need to do, suddenly become not true when we are dealing with the threat of the draft? Explain that without boich svoras.
DeleteBecause such intangibles can never be defined exact
DeleteI hope everyone is enjoying the Obama fiasco, because like most of these things, it is going nowhere. Enjoy it while it lasts, get a kick out of your righteous indignation, because it will soon be debunked, and then you can use it as proof of the deepstate.
ReplyDeleteBuy stock in tinfoil hats.
Trump's been right on everything. We'll yet see who has the last laugh.
DeleteMaybe these 30b bochurim like many have become disenchanted with the litvishe Torah system, such as Shidduchum for money, mosdos for money & kavod, not giving a damn about a wrecker bochur etc etc
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the constant ongoing power struggle Ponoviz doesn't help
