Vote for Harold Herskowitz and save Lakewood, NJ. from falling into the abyss!
ReplyDeleteOther than this website, has anyone seen/noticed Harold promoting himself? no ads in the BP, Voice or Shopper, I haven't gotten anything in the mail, has there been any robo calls or lawn signs?
DeleteThe vaad has advertised two weeks in a row and their ads concealed Harolds name on the ballot. Why will Harold win?
He advertised in the Lakewood Weekly, the only weekly that bnei Torah read and act upon. Vote for Reb Hershel and get the taxes lowered!
DeleteHe did two weeks ago, not this past week. And it was a very shvache ad. I'm all for Hershel but I don't want him making a fool of himself by losing in a landslide and the Vaad laughing all the way to the ....
DeleteHow does he expect to win if he isn't campaigning?
When will I be getting my stimulus money from the yeshiva?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you call up the office and ask them? They probably have more info than this website.
DeleteYou are not in yeshiva. Thats why you didn't get
DeleteI did call the office and they responded that they’re still working on it. But they didn’t provide an explanation about the extreme delay in their process.
DeleteI’m in yeshiva and didn’t get
DeleteWhy don't you ask them for an explanation about the extreme delay in their process. They probably have more info than this website.
DeleteThey said that they were unable to provide an explanation and said to try calling back a different day when more information might become available. It's already almost the end of June. Does anyone here have some inside info on what's going on behind the scenes which is taking so long?
DeleteI already received some money. A little over a week ago.
Deletei spoke to the bmg office and they said the checks will be going out in the next week or 2
DeleteYey! I sure hope you’re right. I’m in desperate need of help.
Delete- Gelbsteins at public school locations 9-11 am menu Tuna
ReplyDeletethey are not at Piners on County Line!
Why on earth should it cost $42,000 to take kids' temperature?
ReplyDeletebecause when you spend other peoples money you buy the Cadillac version and its for kids who need special ed therefore the spending can go on and the poor tax payers have to work harder just to afford to stay in their homes and put bread on the table
DeleteEven the "cadillac" version doesn't cost anywhere near this amount, and why in the world would they need 10 of them. Should do a FOIA to find out exactly who is pocketing $30k on this
DeleteIf you think about it, it makes no sense, someone has to monitor the temperature anyways (even if alarm goes off), you can buy a handheld no touch scanner for $40
DeleteWhat an obscene waste of money!Even hiring an additional employee to stand there and take temperatures won't approach this kind of outlay. You could almost believe that this purely an attempt to find a way to spend the surplus funds this town has from its exorbitant tax revenue.
DeleteI wonder whose wedding it was....maybe a mr Inzelbach? I think I've heard of him.
ReplyDeleteAshreichem Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteWho's farfeering these Baltimore Rabbonim ? Masks ?? They are nothing more than a social statment of showing "I care", and to condescend people who are not wearing them. Nobody even wore masks until mid-April, and even then it was only people who were nervous. There was no medical science behind it and there still isn't. Its tyranny. In either case people who need masks should not be in shul, period.
ReplyDeleteRecommended by every country in the world, every medical center, the vast majority of infectious disease experts, has been shown in multiple studies as effective in limiting spread in community settings but declared by Anonymous on Hefkervelt to be a social statement of caring.
DeleteLkwd guy: Anonymous is right. It was never recommended by medical experts . Only by governments. And even the CDC did not recommend it ( they changed for political reasons just like they changed on asymptomatic spread).
DeleteHow does our committee sit back when they see such expenditures? I am sure there are excuses about requirements for temperature taking. But at least point out the insanity of this expenditure. Along with 850 thousand dollars for playground equipment. 500 thousand for general Covid 19 expenses. The spending is out of control. It's time we discussed our spending habits and where the money is going. I Am willing to donate 10 forehead thermometers to the school district. They cost about 50 dollars for a very good one. We can save 42500 dollars
ReplyDeleteHerschel,
DeleteWhat’s the matter with you? The guy who is ripping off the township needs a down payment on his new yacht and money for his Kiddush Club now that Shula are opening!! You want to take that away from him? What’s the matter with you!
Hershel, you are so right! You are the only one who says it like it is and doesn't care about the repercussions. Everyone must vote for this guy!
Delete#SaveLakewoodNJ
Lots of talk and Hot Air, Reb Harold. But tachlis - I haven't seen one ad from you this weekend, nothing in the mail, did you do any robo calls or lawn signs? Seriously, I believe in your cause, but on what basis will you win? If you lose big time it will make you look terrible, so without a campaign process in place, how do you expect to turn the masses over to your side?
DeleteDon't you get enough junk mail and robo-calls? Hershel talks directly to the people. No hot air here! Go Hershel! YOU WILL WIN!!
DeleteHershel talks directly to the people....
DeleteOther than this website, how else does he talk directly to the people????
The vaad asked me to send in the mail in ballot for their candidates. It would be nice of them to fill in all the circles on the SAT-type ballot. It's too much of a pain for me to make perfect circles. They should do more to earn my vote.
DeleteHershel is approachable. He's a REAL person. What is the VAAD? An unknown entity of random people! They don't know me or my needs! Why do I need to capitulate to their dark desires? If they want achdus and a unified vote, the VAAD should endorse Hershel!
DeleteI'm responding tp opinion piece about the Lakewood summer camp protests and the link to NJ.com.
ReplyDeleteThis UCLA so called "scholar" of the Haredi community, is anything but. His assessment is sociological hogwash, hooey, claptrap, tripe, drivel, baloney and utterly without a shred of scholarship.
I'm not going to challenge any of his assertions because to answer in any detail would lend the slightest measure of credibility to that nonsense.
We Haredim know who we are, what we believe and what we stand for. That article is as relevant to ourselves as it would be to a Tibetan monk.
This is not local taxpayer money . Its Cares monies that can only he used for these types of expenses related to Covid.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of leeway in how the Care Act money can be spent. there are plenty of ways to use it without throwing money out, and if they really insist on temperature kiosks, I would gladly supply them for $25k or less delivered.
DeleteEssentially, all they are is thermal scanners on a stand with a large readout.
The township added 500 thousand to our tax bill for Covid related expenses. So I am not sure what they used Care money for. Wasted money is taxpayer money. Whether its 24 million of UEZ money for a stadium that cost us millions more to maintain or CDBG grant money given out to specific charities with no public input. Millions of dollars over the year wasted with the same excuse. It's not property tax money. No it isnt. But its money given to us to make our town better and its often squandered. Let's stop the squandering.
DeleteWill LSTA give a refund for the $150 fee they charge parents of non mandated busing after not providing any service for 4 months. They also forced parents to pay upfront another $150 for next year otherwise they will not get busing. No refund
ReplyDeleteNo they will not until someone takes them to court.
DeleteDoes anyone know when playgrounds will be allowed to open in New Jersey?
ReplyDeleteWhen Murphy decides, there's no set dste
DeleteMy man! There you are! I wait everyday for your $150 LSTA comment.
ReplyDeleteToday I got a double bonus when the other guy commented about not getting his cut of some $6 million. I can now go to sleep, my day is done.
BMG received $6,000,000 from the feds for the students. How come nobody has received it yet?
ReplyDeleteTo "it'sMe" why don't you just give him $150, if $150 is nothing to you. In other words put your money where your mouth is.
