The framework agreement text is in its final approval stages in Iran, but a final decision has not yet been made. Iran emphasized that it will open the strait according to pre-established arrangements, ranging from ship inspections to providing insurance for ships (for a fee).
Trump claimed Iran would give up its nuclear program - this is not true and does not appear in the memorandum of understanding.
The most important condition Trump did not mention is the payment of $12 billion from Iran's frozen assets; according to the framework agreement text, this payment must be made immediately upon implementation of the agreement, and until the funds are paid, Iran will not enter further negotiation stages.
