Trump on Truth Social: The President of the United States, DONALD J. TRUMP, Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, and Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, met today with High Ranking Representatives of Israel and Lebanon in the Oval Office. The Meeting went very well! The United States is going to work with Lebanon in order to help it protect itself from Hezbollah. The Ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by THREE WEEKS. I look forward in the near future to hosting the Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu, and the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun. - Hezbollah fired a barrage of some four rockets from Lebanon at the northern border community of Shtula they said the rocket attack comes as a response to an Israeli violation of the ceasefire when it allegedly carried out artillery shelling in the southern Lebanese town of Yater earlier.
- Trump: “Iran wants to make a deal, and we’ve been speaking to them, but they don’t even know who’s leading their country. They are in turmoil, so we thought we’d give them a little chance to get some of that resolved.”
- Trump on Iran: If we left right now, we would have a tremendous success. We have total control of the strait. They came to us and they said, "We will agree to open the strait." I don't want them to make $500 million a day. I'm the one that kept it closed.

- President Trump may join the talks between Israel and Lebanon at the White House today
- Commander of the Iran section in the IDF intelligence: "We see a major desertion from the army and security bodies in Iran. There are very deep cracks between the decision-makers in Iran and the military wing and other security bodies. On Iran's regrouping: "They are managing to clear the clogged launchers - but not to produce new ones. The more we reduce activity, the more they will be successful.”
-Israel Defense Minister Katz at the end of the situation assessment: "Israel is prepared for the renewal of war against Iran - the IDF is prepared in defense and offense, and the targets are marked. Waiting for the green light from the US - primarily to complete the elimination of the Khamenei dynasty and return Iran to the Stone Age. This attack will be different and deadly and will add devastating blows in the most painful places - that will shake and crack Iran's foundations."
- PM Netanyahu will convene a limited telephone situation assessment with the security cabinet. Senior Israeli official: We are preparing for approval from the Trump administration to resume the fighting.
- Trump shares the words of commentator Marc Thiessen: "If there are two factions in Iran, one that wants a deal and one that doesn't, let's kill the ones who don't want a deal."
- Trump on Truth Social: I have ordered the United States Navy to shoot and kill any boat, small boats though they may be (Their naval ships are ALL, 159 of them, at the bottom of the sea!), that is putting mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There is to be no hesitation. Additionally, our mine “sweepers” are clearing the Strait right now. I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled up level! - Trump: "Iran is having a very hard time figuring out who their leader is! They just don’t know! The infighting is between the “Hardliners,” who have been losing BADLY on the battlefield, and the “Moderates,” who are not very moderate at all (but gaining respect!), is CRAZY! We have total control over the Strait of Hormuz. No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is “Sealed up Tight,” until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL!!! - US forces intercepted and boarded another Iranian oil tanker.
- IDF: Hezbollah blatantly violated the ceasefire today by firing an anti-tank missile at our forces in Lebanon; there are no casualties.
- Wapo: “Iran’s goal is to drag out the negotiations believing the longer major combat is suspended, the less likely it is to resume. They are betting that Trump, under political and economic pressure at home, does not want to restart the war. Trump needs to disabuse them of that notion."
- NYT: The reason Mojtaba has not yet released a recorded message is that he does not want to appear vulnerable or sound weak. It was also reported that due to his current situation and security concerns, he has effectively delegated various authorities to generals, who have become the deciding voice in the decision-making process. According to the report, they are the ones who ordered the cancellation of the Iranian delegation's arrival in Pakistan this week before the second round of talks.
- Israeli ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter to reportedly meet Lebanese counterpart Nada Hamadeh Moawad in DC at 4 p.m. local time; Beirut expected to seek month’s extension of truce
