Israel At War Tuesday Sept 24

 Israel at war day 354 

- Sirens in Tel Aviv  & Ramat Gan early morning as rockets fired from Lebanon aimed at central Israel  the furthest so far.

- Journalist Yinon Magal (Channel 14): "A senior official told me that in Lebanon, they are going all the way, including Beirut."

- The next steps that Israel is considering as part of the war in the North: targetted ground raids, strikes in Beirut, and attacking significant stores of munitions that have not yet been attacked. (Channel 14)

- IDF spokesman: "At least two additional commanders were killed along with the head of Hezbollah's missile array, Kabisi. In the last few days, he was responsible for the shooting into Haifa - including the shooting this morning. Today, about 300 rockets were fired into the Israeli rear, injuring six civilians and soldiers - most of them lightly.”
“Hezbollah wanted to shoot more today. We disrupt and thwart this shooting. I won't go into detail about Hezbollah's firing capabilities to not give the enemy a picture and clarity. 

- Biden speech today at the UN general assembly "Hezbollah, unprovoked, joined the October 7th attack, launching rockets into Israel."
Full-scale war is not in anyone's interest. Even though the situation has escalated, a diplomatic solution is still possible."

- Today marks 12 months since the massacre on Simchas Torah but since it was a leap year the Yartzeit is next month

- UN Secretary-General António Guterres accuses Israel of “collective punishment” of the Palestinians in Gaza.

- Direct hit to Rosh Pina the family stayed in the bomb shelter and was not harmed. BH

- The commander of Hezbollah's missile operation, Ibrahim Kabisi, was killed in an attack in Dahiya by Israel  there are five dead and 11 wounded in the attack in Dahiya,

- IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, in his assessment of the situation this morning: "Hezbollah must not be given a reprieve. We have to keep going with all our might. We will speed up the offensive operations today and close all the formations. The situation requires continued vigorous action in all arenas."

- Senior Israeli official: “Yesterday, massive strikes and the operations last week set Hezbollah 20 years back.”

- The Lebanese Ministry of Health updates the casualty figures from yesterday's IDF attacks in Lebanon: 558 dead and 1835 wounded.

- IDF distances itself from reports that strikes took out 50% of Hezbollah’s precision-guided missiles

- A senior Israeli Air Force officer says the airstrikes carried out over the past day against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon are the most extensive the IAF has carried out in its history.

- More than 1,600 Hezbollah sites, mostly homes where weapons were stored, were struck in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley within a day, according to the IDF.

  1. Why did Biden say the Hezbollah "joined" when they did much more than join another party?? They were the ones that initiated and committed the very atrocities!
