- PM’s office says Israeli delegation will attend Aug. 15 talks on ceasefire-hostage deal

- President Biden, the Emir of Qatar, and the President of Egypt have released a joint statement urging Israel and Hamas to engage in a final round of negotiations on a hostage & ceasefire deal on August 15.

- The United States has communicated to Iran and Israel that there is a consensus in the Middle East that the current conflict must not escalate, Secretary of State Antony Blinken says.
“No one should escalate this conflict. We’ve been engaged in intense diplomacy with allies and partners, communicating that message directly to Iran. We communicated that message directly to Israel,” Blinken tells reporters.

- Israel's hospitals are on high alert, preparing for a possible war with Iran and Hezbollah that could lead to mass casualties. Health Minister Uriel Buso held meetings with hospital and health organization leaders to ensure emergency readiness following the assassinations of key figures in Hamas and Hezbollah.

- Another eight rockets were fired from Lebanon at the Western Galilee a short while, falling in open areas near the northern community of Shlomi, according to the IDF. There are no injuries in the attacks.

- Western officials have circulated a new Gaza ceasefire-hostage release proposal in the past four days that could put an end to escalating tensions in the region, according to a Qatari-owned media outlet.The unsourced Al-Arabi Al-Jadid report says that Western and Arab officials close to both Israel and Iran have reviewed the proposal, which would potentially prevent both Tehran and its proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah, from launching threatened retaliation attacks on Israel.

-Iran's acting foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani, visiting Jeddah today, tells the Associated Foreign Press: "The act that the Israelis carried out in Tehran was a strategic mistake because it will cost them gravely. It is they who want to expand tension, war, and conflict from Gaza to other countries in the region. The Zionists are in no position to start a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran. They neither have the capacity nor the strength."

- Harris aide asserts she opposes Israel arms embargo after far-left activists claimed she might be open to discussing idea

- US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib reposted a doctored poll claiming that 47% of Israelis believe IDF soldiers have a right to rape Palestinians, which was tweeted by Noura Erakat, who later admitted that it was fake on X, formerly Twitter.

- Axios reports that Israel has made it clear to the Biden admin that if the Hezbollah attack harms Israeli civilians, the response to it will be “immediate, disproportionate and with overwhelming force.”

  1. What's all this supposed "negotiations"? Just release hostages and Israel will release terrorists from its prisons same/next day. To make President Biden happy, put his big picture on all the photo ops.
