Torah world is mourning following the petirah of Hagaon Rav Avrohom Tzvi Shmulevitz ZTL magid shiur at yeshivas mir Yerushalayim and son of Rav Chaim Shmulevitz zatzal. He was 77. His mother rebbetzin Chana Miriam was the daughter of Rosh Yeshivas Mir HaGaon Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel Zatzal.
He was a talmid of Chevron yeshiva before going to Mir.
He married the daughter of Rav Yehuda Leib Nekritz ztl the granddaughter of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yaffen ztl the son-in-law of the alter of Novhardok. He was known for his Gaonus in Torah in all sugyos. Besides his genius in Torah, he was involved on Tzedakos and many flocked to him for Eitzos with deep advice and wisdom
