Back in August the board voted to demote and transfer R' Aaron Lang a BMG alumnus and Lawyer, from his teaching job at the high school to a 8th grade teachers position. Mr. Lang filed an affidavit claiming the demotion has to do with his lawsuit against the state to provide more funding for the Lakewood school district since he subpoenaed district officials to testify in the case.
Earlier this month R' Aaron Lang supposedly got his old teaching position back after going to the Public Employment Relations Commission and reached a settlement. The Lakewood school district was expected to give him back the high school job for the 2020-21 school year.
Today he wrote that the school reneged on the settlement and that he confirmed this with the superintendent. see what he wrote on Twitter below:
The BOE raised our taxes, part of which will pay the Methfessel & Werbel firm to fight in PERC against me and the teachers' union to get my old position back.— Aaron Lang (@lakewoodlawNJ) November 26, 2019
Shame on you, shame on me, shame on all the taxpayers.
I have been quiet for over five years during which I was slandered, shouted down, told that I must step aside, subject to ha’sagas g’vul, fired and demoted. Should they blame their perfidy on my exercise of free speech, then what is their excuse for the previous decade of animus?— Aaron Lang (@lakewoodlawNJ) November 26, 2019
