It's been 22 days since the last confirmed case of measles in Lakewood according to the Ocean county Board of health. Although there have been more cases confirmed as of yesterday, those patients had the measles from a few weeks ago and not so much in position to infect others. The official Board of health policy is once 21 days pass the kids can return to school. The last confirmed case was Nov 6th.
Does this mean that non vaccinated children can now return to school?
Will schools allow them back?

Hopefully not. Key these loonybins keep their kids home. I hope schools adopt a zero tolerance policy going forward.
ReplyDeleteNow the redifos will commence even after the outbreak is declared over.
ReplyDeleteMeasles was just an excuse.
This was never about accepted health department standards. It was part of a campaign by ...... to ostracize those doctors who don't agree with them, along with their patients. The health department was fine with allowing them to attend school unless their was a confirmed case in their school. When the doctors explained things to them, they still didn't require the chumra, just allowed it. Bittul Torah? Eh.
ReplyDeleteIf you really believed it was sakanas nefoshos to vaccinate your kid, you wouldnt be pulling the 'bittul torah' line because saving a life comes before bittul torah.
DeleteAccording to the ocean county Health department, after 21 days all kids May return.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why are we trying to be more machmir then the health department.
What's with being מבטל תשבר? We don't do it for בבה'מ.
Maybe 20 days since the last reported case, but there are still new cases popping up. Speak to some of the school nurses if you think the last case was 20 days ago.
