Cold weather brings more cars to Clustered bus stops in Lakewood
The cold weather is here but for the Lakewood kids it means driving by car to the bus stops. The new busing system eliminated the close to home bus stops forcing parents to cluster at the main roads. That made parents, having to schlepp little babies and all other children while waiting for the bus. The freezing cold weather now has more parents driving to the bus stops so the kids can wait in the warm cars until the bus comes. This also delays the buses, since it takes longer now at each stop as kids come out of the cars to the bus. While much progress was made there are still kids without bus routes.
Traffic, traffic, traffic, its taken over our lives. Everything is messed up. Time for real change....
ReplyDeleteOpen all thru streets, no more high density building, & stop work order on Oak Street corridor. It's as simple as that.
Whoever changed the zoning should be held accountable.
In westgate you have the People who live in Jackson coming to the bus stops
ReplyDeleteJust like we said 4 months ago. You will drive your kids to the stop so you might as well just drive them to school already. At least you can spend some quality time with them while sitting in traffic. If the people don't speak up ,nothing will change. We need a different kind of busing system. But now it is beyond broken.
ReplyDeleteI have to take over the message
ReplyDeleteWhat a buncha wusses
Theres only traffic during rush hour
After that today was beautiful stop kvetching everyone and get a life or sell more toys
Westgate - the most safe and tzniyusdig place imaginable
ReplyDeleteThere's only traffic during rush hour. Why didn't you say there's only traffic when there is traffic? There are three rush hours in Lakewood daily and they add up to about 6 hours a day. I personally have no complaints about traffic. Hardly affects me. But others are suffering immensely and I care about how they feel. I guess dave just cares about himself. Selfish Dave. Toyless selfish Dave. Toyless, driving ,selfish dave.
ReplyDeleteDave is synonymous with the problem we have in this town. traffic does not bother Dave so traffic should not bother anybody. If it's not an inconvenience for Dave, the thousands of people who are inconvenienced daily should learn to deal with it just like Dave. Too many Dave's Running this town.
ReplyDeletePeople especial!y in south Lakewood - down the 9 - are suffering immensely from the traffic. Talk to anyone from Lakewood Commons, hearthstone, chestnut, Spruce, etc. etc. And they'll explain to you the situation.
ReplyDeleteThe approval of oak street corridor is either stupidity or ......
I may not have kids in school and I can avoid driving during those rush hours, but I do feel for people who have to drive then. I'm not self centered like Dave. (just for the record - the traffic is much worse in Yerushalayim - every time I go there, when I come home I thank Hashem for good ole Rte. 9)
ReplyDeleteDave is the guy that drives down the shoulder and cuts everyone off.......and then honks at YOU. Dave is the guy that shushes you in shul, and then speaks himself. Dave is your perpetual nightmare kinda guy.
