Meshulachim like Lakewood
Our fellow brothers from Eretz yisrael are back in town. They unfortunately have to come on to us for help they are away from their mishpachos with the burden of parnassah on their mind. A group of meshulachim were shmoozing together at a local eatery. They were exchanging tips and strategies with each other how to maximize their collecting and fund raising. All of them agreed that in Lakewood they are making the most money if done right. Brooklyn, not even a runner up.
The Shver from Brroklyn is supporting his son in law in lakewood. Its easy for the son in law to give away the shvers money for tzedaka.
ReplyDeleteI live in Lakewood and work very hard for my money. I know where my parnasah comea from. When ever i see collectors in shul I run up to them to give them money. I never was supported by my shver or parents. I was simply raised right.
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn has better hot dogs, Brooklyn has more experience, Brooklyn had the dodgers Lakewood has blueclaws.
ReplyDeletecomparing Lakewood to Brooklyn is a joke. In Brooklyn Rabbonim take a strong stand on a issue there is no protekzia or corruption to protect those in power. Rabbonim in Brooklyn recently publicized a letter against a therapist that was tearing families apart and turning children against the parents. This therapist has caused many homes to be destroyed. Same thing in Lakewood there are incompetent therapists who are breaking apart families teaching children not to have kibud av and nothing is being done about it. Those in power get a corrupt dayan to be their daas torah without verifying the facts. In Brooklyn or anywhere else this dosent happen. Lakewood has a big problem of only listening to one side of an issue and than its too late to rectify once the damage has been done. other Rabonim are afraid and fearful to speak up against the corrupt establishment. I vote Brooklyn or anywhere else but Lakewood.
ReplyDeleteLakewood is still a growing city it is still in the development stage. The zkeinim here are imported from Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteLakewood is a Jewish Disney land it is a Five star Jewish Country club is the only place in America where the Goyim live in Golus .Brooklyn is a dump and a sewer compared to Lakewood .
ReplyDeletethis is so divisive. Stop this nonsense, & talk about other things. are we in any special competition? Let Hashem keep score.
ReplyDeleteOne area Lakewood should emulate Brooklyn for is that the people who live there aren't endlessly talking and writing about how great they are. Particularly in relation to those who live elsewhere.
