    1. Yes, seriously confused.
      They are not major tzionim.
But even if they were, they can still believe that it is more important not to leave Yeshiva for the army.
Your black and white world is seriously warped.

    2. Some major tzionim feel they want to serve their country the way they want to and be told by others.

    1. Sine you mentioned "major Kanoim", i thought I'd share something timely for this week's parsha. Q. What is the difference between Pinchas and today's kanoim?
      A. Pinchas had to look aound, find a Roimach and pick it up from the ground.
Today's kanoim walk around with a roimach in their hands.

  5. Yes they r big Tzionim. That's why it is such a joke that in Monroe they looks Aaron as Satmer Rebbe while his wife is a daughter of the previous Zionist Agudist Vishnitzer. What was the Sigiter thinker when he agreed to that shidduch??

  6. Employers are taxpayers too.

  7. It's nice to know that the elected officials representing Lakewood voted to increase taxes and went against their own party. It makes you wonder who they actually represent, because it certainly doesn't seem to be the general community that's struggling with rising bills. It's time for a public town hall meeting. Let them explain exactly what they're voting for instead of putting out polished PR articles.

  8. Not only was the Lakewood community promised free tuition, but now many families may end up paying even more. This new employer tax could increase costs for schools, and those costs may ultimately be passed on to parents through higher tuition. Assemblyman Avi Schnall should hold a public town hall and explain directly to his constituents why he voted for this measure and how he believes it will affect Lakewood families and businesses

    3. The voting bloc and resources have been hijacked by a select few who abuse the koach hatzibur to enrich themselves. The politicians are beholden only to them and divert all grants and monies to their projects.
But after 120 they will have to pay up for the theft of the public trust

    4. They will justify the theft

    5. Seems Marx & Engels were right.
Religion is just an opiate, convincing the masses to dream of a better next world. To get them to passively take more and more abuse in this world from those above them

Our Torah doesn't talk that much about the next world. Our primary job is to fight the corrupt of this world

  13. So this is how they play the game, if a boy in their own yeshiva is arrested then they go out and turn over the world, so one week it was Shalom ber yeshiva, recently it was mir, they canceled at the last minute because he was released, then a ger boy so they protested by the tens of thousands then now viznitz, so basically as long as it doesn't affect you directly nobody cares

  16. In todays world it seems that what defines a person is if he is anti this or pro that. Years ago the gedolim were not all about these 'so' important issues that concern us so much. Shhh... Rav Kook ztl was mesader kidushin at rav elyashivs chasuna. Rac Aryeh Levin ztl held Rav kook as his rebbi. We like to redraw history to our liking as the kanoim have a strong PR campaign. Yes Rav Aron had Rav JB Solovetzik at the Dinner.

    1. At this point I guess you can look at the product of his shitos and judge for yourself or as the brisker rov said mizrachi is avoda zarah giluy arayos and shfichas damim. And by this day and age it's obvious

      Delete
    2. Let's look at the product of Brisk first.

You can't judge the Brisker Rav by the Yerushalaymer, and you can't judge Rav Kook by the Mizrachi, by kal vachomer. Rav Kook had less influence on the Mizrachi than the Brisker Rav had on Charedim

      Delete
    3. Well put. It's actually difficult to tell of those two whose descendants are more righteous; and which even more charedi!
Definitely one's descendants are nicer and sweeter than the other

      Delete
    4. Just like the comment of giluy arayos and shfichat damim and avodah zara has no basis in reality (it's just polemics), Rav kook was never a Mizrachist.

      Delete
  22. "You can't judge the Brisker Rav by the Yerushalaymer" my friend you are seriously out of your depth are you a baller teshuva or a first generation Yeshiva student? The brisker rav is the central figure in the torah world we are all students of his just like the mizrachi consider themselves to be students of rabbi kook.
And yes let's compare the two

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Rav kook was not a member of mizrachi and they dismissed his shitas even when he was alive.
Ps mizrachi mostly doesn't even exist today. The official party mafdal is gone and the new religious Zionists parties are not really connected to them at all.

      Delete
    2. Rav Kook wasn't part of the Mizrachi political party and was critical of some of their policies
But the RZ of today are his biggest talmidim, they formulate their hashkafos based on his teachings

      Delete
  23. You would find it hard to honestly disagree that he was a great impetus and a driving force behind all their ideas yes they did not exactly follow everything he stood for names of parties come and go but the basic idea of placing yishuv EY Above All Else was his theme and although you might find others who supported that idea he was a central figure especially at that late date. It's hard to compare someone who supported the theory in the early stages we are the facts were not being brought out to fruition whereas he supported it when he saw all the chilled shabbos etc. And still was blinded by his love for ey as the imerei emes not known for his zealotry commentedאהבתו לארץ ישראל העבירו על דתו ועל דעתו . Reading his writings objectively you can sense a man which was a bit off not only hashkaffically which can be debated but he has lost his touch with reality.

      Be that as it may,
a.He began to regret at the end how he was used by others.
He was preparing to start a new more religious movement.
b.Most of his descendants & nephews' descendants somehow are all charedi
