- FAA news : Judge upholds Lakewood township’s plans for dormitories, wedding halls and mid-rise residential apartment buildings on cross street After a lengthy legal battle, a Superior Court judge has upheld ordinances adopted by the Lakewood Township Committee in December 2024 that allow for additional dormitories, wedding halls, and mid-rise residential apartment buildings on Cross Street. - Lakewood School District's legal costs in defending Superintendent Laura Winters against a discrimination lawsuit have exceeded $80,000 and could top $100,000 after the Board of Education recently approved up to $20,000 in additional spending. The case, brought by a Puerto Rican employee alleging discrimination, is scheduled for trial in August.

- A Jackson couple is suing the township after police impounded their minivan during a drug investigation that ultimately found no drugs. The couple says they were charged nearly $1,000 in towing and storage fees to retrieve the vehicle and are seeking reimbursement, damages, and legal costs. The van remains impounded because they say the fees exceed the vehicle's value.
