    1. Name me one Rebbe (or RY, for that matter) that is not personally wealthy.
Though I haven't check out the one who grew up in Staten Island, whose father knew personally.

    2. Those 20,000 babies should be raised in Pt Pleasant Beach, though housing prices there are high (combination of shore and spillover from overpriced Bay Head.)
They'll make back their money in a few short years with further overpricing of homes. Though I'd prefer Fischer Island for monetary returns.

    3. The Biala Rebbe from Lugano had business investments. He was a Rav and Rosh Yeshiva (without a building), and he did business himself.
Most Roshei Yeshiva, at least the ehrliche ones, do not have any personal wealth.
Besides the Gerrer Rebbe, no other Rebbe is personally wealthy. The mosdos are not theirs to sell, they can't do anything with them.

    2. Why pick on Agudah? Why are they under any more obligation to get involved than any non Agudah aligned group?

    3. Because Agudah puts out a press release on this every few years when the issue comes up.

      Either way, there's a state opt-out provision.
Oh sorry, Agudah was pushing another NJ gubernatorial candidate, so we don't have clout with that office.

    1. Very low turnout in Dem primary, and easy to switch parties (remember that campaign last year) he could easily lose the primary if anyone would make a real effort to remove him.
