Hashkafa: Sequel: Cheeseburgers and unconventional methods of tasting forbidden fruit
Hashkafa With Rav Gershon Ribner Shlita listen to Audio version Here.
you dont know this rabbi he's not influenced by what's "ridiculous or off track" he speaks his mind on the issues of the day and if people are asking for clarification the issue is still on peoples mind and if you listen to the way he explained it ,its very nuanced and deeper then just the issue at hand
For years many stores sold, and STILL sell pizza with parve mt or flieshig pizza with fake cheese. And there is NOTHING WRONG TO DESIRE, EAT AND ENJOY IT EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A BAAL TSHUVAH!!!!!!
What about sushi made with kani! That's kosher pollok fish prepared to LOOK & TASTE like either crab or lobster! I don't see any hiemeshe Yidden being disgusted by it? Happens to be a big seller for the Shabbos table and all the fund raisers you go to.
I have a question. Isn't the desire to want to taste a CB because the world is basically saying it's a good taste and not because the Torah assured it?
A hiemishe company in EY makes frozen parve veggie burgers. The serving suggestion picture on the bag shows it being presented as a cheeseburger! They would not do that if a cheeseburger is inherently disgusting among Frum people. I think enough said
Who is behind this coordinated attack? There are far worse problems facing Lakewood, Yidden, and the world, that we could be busy with. Who gains from this boycott? Who wants to bury this store? There must be something more to the story. Did he refuse to advertise in one of the circulars? To have a long beard knock a mezuzah into the wall? Take a hechsher that somebody invested in?
These fabricated issurim are a far greater problem than a family restaurant in Toms River.
I would suggest the Rabbi drops this topic before it gets even more ridiculous off track

ReplyDeleteYou're shouting because you know you're wrong

ReplyDeleteThankfully, I don't eat that stuff and have never done so, as far as I can remember.

ReplyDeleteSee Rashi on Vayikra 20:26
ReplyDeleteLikely also a sleight of hand for other very inappropriate taavos (which won't get discussed in public forums)
