- CNN: Sources in the Trump administration are discussing the possibility of holding another meeting with the negotiation representatives from Iran before the ceasefire ends. As part of the discussions, possible dates and objectives for the meeting are being considered

- Trump warns: "Iran’s Navy is lying at the bottom of the sea, completely obliterated - 158 ships. What we have not hit are their small number of, what they call, “fast attack ships,” because we did not consider them much of a threat. Warning: If any of these ships come anywhere close to our BLOCKADE, they will be immediately ELIMINATED, using the same system of kill that we use against the drug dealers on boats at Sea. -US naval blockade of Iran comes into effect; IDF says it’s on high alert

 

- Two soldiers were moderately hurt and six others were lightly injured in a Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon earlier today, the military says.

- A senior US official told Al-Jazeera: We are ready to impose a naval blockade on Iran, and we have enough forces and equipment to carry it out. We will implement this, regardless of the duration set by President Trump. We will not discuss the possibility of the US fleet passing through the Strait of Hormuz to secure our operations, nor will we, at this time, discuss the rules of engagement in the event of a violation of the naval blockade of Iran.

- The IDF confirms: More than 250 terrorists and commanders from the Hezbollah terrorist organization were eliminated in the largest strike in Lebanon on April 8 - including dozens in Beirut.

- The US military said it will enforce a blockade on all traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz from 10 a.m. ET today, after weekend peace talks in Pakistan faltered. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to retaliate.

- Iran has threatened to close Bab el-Mandeb, the gateway to the Red Sea, in response to the U.S. blockade of its ports. This could be carried out through its proxy forces in Yemen, the Houthis

- Netanyahu: The ceasefire between Iran and the US “could turn on a dime.”

-A military source warns the IRGC could respond as early as tonight, including potential strikes on U.S. and Israeli targets tied to Strait of Hormuz developments. The IDF is bracing for escalation and a possible ceasefire collapse, updating its target bank and intensifying monitoring inside Iran.

- Pope Leo XIV said he has “no fear of the Trump administration” and will continue to speak out after criticism from President Donald Trump, who denounced his stance on the Iran war and said he was “terrible for foreign policy.”

-Oil prices have again topped $100 a barrel and stock markets fell as the collapsed weekend talks, and imminent blockade, threatened to further disrupt the global economy.

- The head of the Iranian delegation that met US Vice President JD Vance over the weekend has said Americans will soon be nostalgic for the era of $4 gasoline. “Enjoy the current pump figures,”

- The Israeli military has nearly completed the capture of the Hezbollah stronghold of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, killing more than 100 members of the terror group in the area in the process, the Israel Defense Forces said Monday.
