-Hamodia: The Chassidic world was plunged into mourning Thursday morning, with the news of the petirah of the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Harav Refael Aharon Roth, zy”a, at the age of 72. The Rebbe had been hospitalized in recent weeks in the Laniado Medical Center in Netanya, after he caught the coronavirus. Many tefillos were held for the Rebbe’s refuah, but alas the gezeirah was
sealed. The Rebbe, Harav Refael Aharon Roth, was the oldest son of the previous Shomrei Emunim Rebbe, Harav Avraham Chaim Roth, zy”a, the Chukei Chaim. His father was the only son of the famed Rebbe Harav Aharon (Reb Arele) Roth, zy”a, the author of Shomer Emunim. He was born in Cheshvan 5708/1947, and was named Aharon for his grandfather who had passed away just a few months earlier. His mother, Rebbetzin Basya Chaya, a”h, was the daughter of Harav Mordechai Goldman of Zhvill, zy”a. Her grandfather, Harav Gedalya Moshe of Zhvill, zy”a, served as sandak at the bris. read more Here

  1. Instead of calling a death a 'gezeirah', wear a mask. We don't need more deaths. (Not speaking specifically about this situation, I don't what people did here. But the attitude of saying it's a gezeirah seems callous. We know how to stop the spread of this, what happened to not relying on a ness?)

  2. What happened to “kochi v’atzem yadi”? We KNOW how to stop the virus? We don’t know anything. Hashem is the only One Who can stop the virus. Plus there’s no clear evidence that masks help. I know someone who quarantined themselves for 3 MONTHS and still caught corona.

    1. What happened to doing your hishtadlus?
I'm sorry that your friend got covid are quarantining, don't you think they'd have certainly got it had they not quarantined?

    2. Suddenly every putz knows what hishtadlus is. Masks have NEVER been proven to do anything. Its a wild guess. If anything ( and thats a big if) wear one when you are around sick people. But to force everyone else to wear one, and declare that this is hishtadlus ?? Besides, the virus is basically over; ad masai ? Till when is hishtadlus to not get sick mean wearing a mask ? Its insanity. You know what ? When you get into a fender bender ( putting it nicely here)-and Im sure you will, everyone does, - could we tell you it was because you failed in hishtadlus, and got into a car ? You people are so brainwashed it's sad. Very sad.

    3. You are correct, it's not 'proven', but it's strongly encouraged and recommended by the global medical community. Countless studies have been done showing that masks reduce the spread of covid, this is fact. Yes its uncomfortable, and yes its not pretty, but its something that we have to do collectively to get through this.

When you get in a car, you put on on a seatbelt. The analogy of a fender bender is very appropriate here, you don't expect to get into an accident every time you sit down in a car, yet you still put on a seatbelt. Why?

  3. 14 acres all land that is sold by the LIC does not go into the township coffers to help reduce taxes. It goes to the LIC bank account and they use it for their salaries and projects such as the airport expansion which costs millions of tax payer funds to house a flying club that needed a place after Monmouth airport stopped hosting it.

  5. Time to vote these foolish people on the Township Committee, who don't represent our needs, out of office. Ballots will begin to arrive in the mail in the near future! Send them back with the competition's circles filled in!
