  1. You can’t believe any Lakewood Corona numbers .
They always revise them down in a few days .
    Murphy’s incompetence is astounding.

    1. Enough with criticising Murphy! Its both disgusting and pointless. Go to most the Lakewood stores and count how few ppl are wearing masks. Likely not following recommended hand washing protocols nor social distancing. The rise in numbers should be a wake up call for those who want to daven regularly in shuls on Rosh Rosh Hashana!

    2. Ditto. Keep the rules. If CV shuls will be closed on rosh hashana or schools closed, we will know who is to blame.

    3. We've been doing this for months and nothing happened. Doomsday preachers like you are sounding more foolish with every passing day.
If anything, Lakewood should be a case in study about how to successfully defeat this virus. The young and healthy should get out and build an immunity, and the elderly should stay out of danger until the numbers go down, which they are. 24 cases in the entire Lakewood is a joke

  2. 24 seems like more of a climb then the 2-7 that were previously reported. Is it from unzere?

  5. Ocean county had 27 cases and 24 of those were in Lakewood

  6. I hope the numbers are revised. But 24 is high. TLS can't use the camp testing excuse as that was weeks ago. In turn they decide better not to report it. What noone knows doesn't hurt anyone.
The sad part is the minority that flaunts the rules and doesn't follow them, can potentially cause much losses for the many that do. Is wearing a mask and social distancing that hard?

  7. Every excuse not to wear a mask.
Once it hits in “your pocket” Chas Vesholm it will be too late.

  8. The 24 cases is from a cluster of sefardim that attended a simcha in Deal.

  9. Most of the cases are from one event in Monmouth County. Which means there was no community spread.

  10. There won’t be 24
    It’s a bitter joke.
Tomorrow it will be revised down .
If you are worried about covid
    STAY HOME
Don’t come to our Shuls .
    Don’t shop .
    Don’t Live !
We will leave boxes by your door .
Honestly , the world is better off with you home .

    1. Wow what a callous and disgusting comment. "The world is better off with you home"?? You mean people who's lives are at risk due to age, illness or other underlying conditions? Ever heard of going out of your way and inconveniencing yourself (just a little bit!) to help others??

    2. I'm the OP. That is a disgusting comment. The fact that you can't keep rules means that everyone else has to suffer?
Do you know immunocompromised people who are now going out without masks because people like you make these disgusting comments. Because they are looked out crazy by people like you who think it's a joke.
The fact is covid is dangerous. Maybe not for you, but for many others it is. There is a certain amount of hishtadlas that we have to do. If you feel it's unwarranted then don't follow the rules, but also go to a different city. Go to a different country where you don't have follow any rules.
If everyone would be careful the numbers in Lakewood would be 0. Not 2 and not 24.
Go to any out of town community. They are wearing masks, social distancing etc, as they have rabbonim who lead. Where Rabbinim guide. In Lakewood, Rabbinim are not saying anything, because there are so many that are smarter and will do whatever they want anyway.

    3. Yet the cases in those other towns are higher than Lakewood. Your have become so paranoid that you've lost your ability to think rationally and make an educated decision about your health. The Rabbanim in Lakewood lead, and just because they aren't saying what you want isn't a lack of leadership.
Yes, covid is dangerous, and yes people need to take precautions, yet the data and reality on the ground shows that the risk for catching covid in Lakewood is near zero. The bulk of the 24 cases is an outbreak related to a simcha in another town, a town where you claim has Rabbanim that lead. Lakewood recently tested thousands of teens, and the numbers of cases were statistically zero. The only was for the number to be zero is if stayed home with no outside access. Even a grocery delivery is a risk. We have car accidents daily and we don't tell people to stay home. Why is this different? The chance of dying from covid in Lakewood for anyone below 70 is zero, and those above 70 is less that 0.5%. Those numbers are lower than the percentage of risk to an adverse reaction to immunizations, yet you force everyone to get those.
Stop listening to fake news and those with an agenda, and study the facts.

  12. Another problem in lakewood, besides no masks, is people who are coming from out of town hotspots and not even thinking of quarantining according to the rules. Now that it's bein hazmanim & people are travelling more, the problem is compounded. Rules seem to be meaningless...

    1. Out of towners come to Lakewood because there are no rules, and once in Lakewood they don't follow any rules because noone else does. It's a circle.

  13. The Numbers were just revised downward !
