-Aguda  statement after judge rules against opening camps:
"We are devastated at the news of the ruling that just came from Chief U.S. District Judge Glenn Suddaby to keep New York State overnight camps closed this summer. Needless to say, we are deeply disappointed with this ruling. According to Rabbi Yeruchim Silber, Agudah's New York Government Relations Director, “The impact on children is devastating. Instead of looking forward to a summer of growth, filled with learning experiences and preparation for an upcoming school year, many children of our community will now be forced to endure a continuation of the long-lasting lockdowns imposed by the State Government."

  1. If the aguda had fought for schools maybe.. just for camps that's a no go.

    3. I send water bottle the boys lose them. The school claims to give out water bottles, but the lady in the office hates that the boys bother her all day. The school runs out of bottles very quickly Just open the water fountains, make everyone life more nice and the school will save money by not having to pay for water bottles. There is no good reason why the water fountains are closed.

  3. Does anyone know what the construction project on Prospect Street is? How long will it last? What are they doing?

  4. The whole prospect street is slated for development. Most, high density residential, some of it commercial shopping centers. The 2 self storage facilities were already sold.

    1. You do realize it's a primary, not a general election, right? Also it's in ocean county which is Republican. Far from a sign of anything.

    2. And these are the people voting for Trump. People who don't understand the difference between a primary and a general election. And then you wonder why they are termed deplorables.

    3. Excuse me. I'm the 6:17pm poster and I very well understand the difference between primary and general election. I was just making a point, that at least in Ocean County there is significantly greater support for trump than biden

    1. Did D'Elia and Fuentes do or say anything that earned them your vote?

    2. No and i may be wrong but it didn’t look like HH was doing much for our vote either. No mailings, robocalls, signs etc. I know it’s Lakewood and it’s tough when you don’t have the right backing but there has to be a better way to get your name out

    3. Why "@haroldhershkowitz"?? how about "@entireLakewood better luck next time" do you realize he's running for the better of Lakewood - you included! How about campaigning for him? didn't think of that??

    4. Sorry, but if HH didnt bother campaigning for himself, it was a lost cause from day 1. Learn a lesson from trump. He's not sitting on his rear all day dreaming he'll win. He's out there on the front lines fighting like a warrior

    5. would not have made a difference, people vote straight down the party line and that is how the establishment gets it in their favor they make sure to line the ballot up with their picks and candidates in one column so people vote straight down.
