Lkwd News Briefs 6/27/19

-Gov. Murphy will not shut down state government next week despite a raging battle with Democratic lawmakers over the $38.7 billion state budget. He will sign the budget sunday night at the deadline but will slash millions in spending.

- State monitor David Shafter, who oversees Lakewood's finances, said he expected the state would step in with funding to prevent the district from running out of money early next year. (APP)

-NJ DEP has issued a code orange air quality alert Thursday for Ocean County. Air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups
