ReplyDeleteDavid's agenda was very obvious, but as a listener I came away with the opposite of what he wanted.
Also, the restaurant that was complaining about kashrus costing him 60K, was owned by someone conservative, so there was a high need of supervision, hence the 60k bill, but David tries to avoid that. In the end, you get what you pay for. KCL comes in 3 times a year and charges 300/month. The OU is a temidi and cost 5K a month. Making Kashrus affordable by reducing visits is not a fair tradeoff.
The KCL gives hashgocho to approx 30 local lakewood establishments and has 4 mashgichim who "go around every day". At that rate they should be visiting every establishment once a week not every few months.
The chassidesher Hechsherim some of them as you can see like the SKS are Deathly afraid to Admit that they rely on the OU Star K etc for even one Sub ingredient
