  1. How many years is this tax exempt and at what cost to the taxpayer?

    1. 30 years. Doesnt really cost the taxpayer directly , but doesnt help pay for our out of control taxes either. We need commercial ratables to help pay for all the people we built housing for.if we allow ratables to be built that will not pay their share for 30 years, two things happen.
      1. We dont get much financial. Benefit
      2. Other buildings that would pay their fair share are not being built because they cant compete or are not needed as the market gets filled with office space.
      In order to a attract ratables and perhaps create jobs, a 5 year partial abatement is the norm, that increases each year until the owner pays the full tax by year 5. But when you have to do as you are told by the child emperor of Lakewood, you vote for ridiculous things.
