Legislation to Pass Assisted Suicide in NJ

Submitted.
Compassion And Choices, A leading national organization promoting legalized killing in America, has launched a million dollar digital ad campaign in NJ to try overcome resistance in the otherwise liberal state to pass Assisted Suicide legislation. This legislation would legalize what is now considered murder. Health care facilities would be allowed to actively kill "terminally" ill patients whom, they claim, at one time expressed the will to die. This is unadulterated murder, al pi Torah. [Pain can be controlled with modern medicine. Pain relief is a transparent pretext Assisted Suicide proponents use to dupe otherwise half- decent people.)

There may be action as early as Mon., Oct.15 in the NJ Senate Health Committee, and a possible floor vote by the entire Assembly Oct. 29. The new Gov. would likely sign it if it passes.

Over fifty Orthodox Rabbis from a very broad spectrum signed an unequivocal statement urging
voting and lobbying against such legislation. The Rabbonim urge that this is pikuach nefesh, and thus takes priority over financial issues.
We must alert pro-death legislators that throwing state funding at our communities will be seen for what it is: blood money.

Rabbonim have made a tremendous Kiddush HaShem already. More could kill this bill.

  1. I don't understand .For a healthcare facility to want to kill is not in their best interest, because they get money from the government. why would they want to kill someone if it's in their interest to keep them?

  2. People should have control over their own lives- including the decision when and how to pass away

If so, then incest should be permitted by law.

  3. Not one signature. Just names. And not names that we actually recognize.

Remember, we have no arvus for goyim. None at all. We don't teach them their obligations, we teach ourselves to keep away from their values. Our job is to take care of ourselves, not the outside world.

    1. We also had no arvus in the midbar lots of collective punishment though.

You think only goyim will be killed.

Try calling up some of the rabbanim and ask them if they signed

  5. If you post the numbers, people might call to support.
    Not everyone is against this.
Stay out of others' business. We don't like when the Israeli govt mixes into our business, we shouldn't mix into others' business.

    1. I guess you were sleeping during parshas noach where it speaks against murder.

Eating pig is worse than voting for a politician who supports assisted suicide.

One is yehorag veal yaavor, and the other is only a lav shain bo kares.

It's pashut you can even be Michael shabbos to stop this bill, cause it is clearly pikiach nefesh. We have a highercy in Judaism and murder is in the top 3. I'm sure you keep all minhagim (even minhagai Taos) but you're blatant rishus in promoting murder makes you and the yeshiva that produced you hated. All the torah you learned is worthless as can be seen from the gemara in yevamos 109b "afelu torah ain lo"
