  6. On the one side we have a public forum asking a question of whether it is proper to put up a flag on independence day. As if that is even a question. And publicly asking that question when it is a long established tradition that some our greatest Rabbis in America have honored. And to make a statement on a forum that is seen by all of out neighbors and give the false impression that our community would ever think it is wrong to out up a flag and show aour appreciation and thanks for having a land that allows us freedoms we do not take for granted.
On the other side , we have a commercialized Jewish version of celebrating our freedom with Hot dogs and Tshirts. Once again trying to show that we too can celebrate with the best of our non Jewish neighbors. Instead of elevating this holiday and appreciating it in our own special way, we want to show that we can party and party kosher. Putting up a flag is a sign of respect and honor to those that helped us and the scoop has the gall to question it. Stuffing our faces with Kosher Hot dogs in honor of the holiday? No problem.

    1. Putting up a flag is not a sign of respect. It means we are celebrating America and this holiday too.

And while we're at it, out a flag in shul too
