United States Secretary of Education Betsy Devos Visits Yeshiva Darchei Torah
United States Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos tours Queens Yeshiva Darchei Torah Boys School after visiting a Manhattan high school for girls yesterday. The NYT reports the visits culminated months of planning by Agudath Israel of America.
she is very pro voucher, spent much of her time, before joining the government advocating for it. Problem is that the federal government is very limited in what it can do.
Most funding for schools, and decisions regarding vouchers, are state and local. The federal government typically just subsidizes special ed and school lunch programs.
