Report on the Property At Rt 9 South

NJ News & Views -  long Report on the property rt 9 south here

Excerpts from the article:
It pays to have Friends In High Places. in 2005 A Developer asked township officials to consider selling the Hagaman's dump site Property on rt 9 near chestnut lot 1, block 1064 and lot 3 along River Avenue.
The township declined to sell the parcels.  The township committee instead leased Block 1064 Lot 3, on which former owner Glenn Hagaman reportedly buried contaminated waste, to medical service provider Chemed, which employs Lakewood Committeeman Menashe Miller. Miller's employers invested wisely in his political future at his constituents' expense.

At the November 10, 2016 meeting of the Lakewood Township Committee, Mayor Miller abstained, rather than recused from a vote to approve Resolution 11, which called for the lease of Hagaman's Property to Chemed. Chemed reportedly received a $1,000,000 Federal grant to build a healthcare facility at the southern end of town.

Committeemen did not want a public discussion of resolution 11 at their November 10, 2016 meeting. Neither did Chemed.

Last month, without public notice or approval, Chemed saved thousands of dollars in development application costs by removing the trees from the wooded parcel known as Hagaman's Property, despite a large sign posted in front it, informing the public that an environmental investigation and environmental cleanup was in progress on the site.

It pays to have friends in high places.
"Did you use your influence as a member of the Lakewood Township Committee or as last year's mayor to advance construction of the facility being built by your employer, from which you will directly benefit?" this editor/reporter asked Miller.

A healthcare facility, unlike a supermarket, does not collect state sales tax.

The developer of a healthcare facility that receives a $1,000,000 Federal grant does not require a UEZ loan to build it.

"Do you feel that a tax-exempt business for which you work is preferable on that site to a tax ratable being built in the town you represent?" NJ News & Views asked Miller.

Miller did not respond for comment.

  1. welcome to this dishonest & corrupt world we are living in, its bad enough to be living in a corrupt world its even worse when its yidden & makes it into a major chillul Hashem that can never be made up for the damage done by them which the only forgiveness can be gehinnom R"L

WAKEUP & stop all this corruption already before it goes too far C"V & the anti-semitism gets so bad like in other foreign countries that we read today that the yidden are FLEEING to Israel to save themselves before its too late & something tragic happens C"V. Why do we need it to come to this? why can't we just be honest & friendly with our neighbors as we have always been for all these years-before we started annoying them with density & changing the zoning to squash traffic & the quality of life down the drain? MAKE A STOP TO THIS ALREADY BEFORE WE ARE FORCED TO FLEE C"V. we are in golus & we do not own lakewood or monsey etc... to take over & conquer to do whatever we want.

Wont be shocked if we need to flee soon C"V THE anti-semitsm in the USA is growing 90 miles an hour up & its our fault cause we are attracting to much attention to ourselves....

    1. They don`t care .
      It`s all a matter of votes .
As much as you don`t like it The Vaad has been empowered and is now emboldened by their success of assuaging the oilam`s fear of further federal reprisals.
With the Vaad high on their horse corruption will will only get worse.

    2. Gehinnom for clear lashon hora is a lot worse.

    3. Who paskened that reporting facts about public servants is lashon hora.
They are employees of the tzibur and a boss has every right to know the goings on of their workers.
In addition if you would like to say that the tzibur are mere subjects of the Vaad then we have the concern of the absolute power corrupting. Hence another to`eles is reporting facts

    4. Reporting facts is one thing. Using nasty language and words such as corruption which signifies illegal activity and wishing them to be the subject of investigations ,certainly is not acceptable and is in the spirit of mesirah. It might not he mesirah mamash but its close.

    5. Somehow the Spirit if Mesira is allowed except when it's on the powerful.

Mesira is rampant in Lakewood mental health agencies were therapists reporting on parents and children to DYFUS all in the name of "protecting the children and thr agency"

Mesira is allowed at the township to stop shuls

Mesira is allowed to publicly shame and call innocent youngeleit bad apples and publicizing all sources of income.

No one stood up to stop it. Now that the corruption of tax dollars and public officials is exposed all of a sudden you scream Mesira.

    6. Now I understand. You basically say ,yes I am a moser or I condone mesirah because I feel that others are also doing the same. That will really help you in the pm on hoemes. What is the difference what others do or don't do. It doesn't allow you to do aveiros chamuros.

    7. Rav Focheimer said you are allowed to go and masser at the township and hire a lawyer.

R Finkel says you can call DYFUS no one masseres without a heterogeneous from Lakewood Poskim.

    8. What do these 2 things have with mesirah. It is possible that exercising your rights at a planning board is not mesirah. But masering on people to get them in trouble is mesirah lechol hadeos

    9. The same heter if public officials abuse and misuse tax money there us every right to stop it. They were warned over and over to cut it out and resign. The corruption in Lakewood by unzere has reached new heights and people have had enough.
Taking advantage of innocent residents by scaring them to the polls with letter from the Roshei Yeshiva is no heter to abuse the power and take properties give away tax and use tax money for personal projects. How sad that the innocent residents were accused while the high and powerful threw them under the bus to cover up for their own crimes.

  4. Its Amazing how there are 2 sets of rules in town. One for the little guy and another one for the well connected. The Township and its boards will go after the little guy for the smallest thing denying variances or small home expansion even to extend a deck. But if you are connected you can ignore all the rules and laws ignore environmental issues and the township not only looks away but assists in getting it done through backroom deals and corrupt legal assistance.
    THIS STINKS!!!
How do they have no shame. They can print 9 articles making them look good but the stench goes right through.

  5. well in exchange for all their corruption with all the builders & vAAD. today they lost a bigger chance of property building. EAGLE RIDGE PROPERTY BUILDING of 1800 ho,mes has been DENIED today by the state of NJ TO PASS FOR BUILDING APPROVAL

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND..... you can be successful as a dishonest & corrupt person. you bring upon yourself tragedies & destruction instead.... change yourself around & become honest again for guaranteed hatzlacha from Hashem

  6. Why would they build a medical facility on a contaminated site?

Why did cgemed have to pull alk thus shtick why can't they buy a property straight up they have enough money.

  8. While this whole thing was done wrong possibly even breaking the law i do think a chemed facility at the south end of town is nessecary. I use them and its hard to go there from south side. Its nit a loss in rateables if its needed for quality of life. I am not sure if i understood but it seemed to me that they need to use the gov money soon so they had to do it illegally. Not saying its right but sheesh its going to help a lot of people. Yes yes i know its llrc=bmg=kotler=the devil but it still is a service many people benefit from

    2. I have no clue what u are talking about. Not sure u do either chemed is finianced through state and feds and yes having a dr around the corner is worth my taxes that i pay go up a dollar a year from this project if even. And it is a major convenience to have a dr near by guess u dont have kids a busy life or need to deal with getting sick kids to their dr!
Some of the comments here really are SO brainless

    3. At 4:31 Your probably the only one getting paid to comment here. Chemed makes money through the lrrc grant. You make it sound ad if there are no medical facilities or any doctors around. Chemed already has 2 locations they don't h as very to be such chazeirim. And if it was all good why did they have to pull all this shtick to get the property and the township had to cover up by signing new agreement with chemed.
      ES SHTINKT!

    4. I dont work for them in fact i am very much take back lakewood... that being said i use them for my kids and they are top notch . Also they dont have two locations the place in westgate may be what u meant?... that is not chemed just a minute clinic that is associated with them but not chemed do your research. I said before it sounds like they got a grant from the state and it needs to be used now. Btw i dont care if bmg makes money as long as it benefits everyone chemed is about the one thing outside of yeshiva that the oilam benifits from. Maybe it stinks i dont know but certainly you must admit chrmed is a plus for lakewood

  10. It's common in NJ, the #1 State for Patronage to make up jobs for friends and family at Taxpayers expense. Our local Senator had a make believe job at the local hospital. Chemed offers make believe jobs too. Only the well connected need apply. On another stream of local corruption where the entire town is kept in the dark,(only the WISE ones know) the Blue Claws were sold recently for a HUGE Profit while our TAXES are SOARING. The most profitable Baseball team in the Northeast pays us a Pittance in Rent while our wise leaders are Smug and Silent on this most Glaring Back room deal that just keeps on taking $$$ out of our pockets. Many favors were done in this deal to the huge profit for a few

  13. The fact that the owner of the super stop building was denied the land for parking is in itself corrupt. He wanted to buy the property and pay taxes and it would have helped the supermarket. There is the catch. Certain people did not want superstop to expand or thrive with adequate parking because that would threaten the mall they were building with a new market as their anchor. Meir should resign from the Township Committee immediately......
He is a committeeman. He is supposed to help local businesses, not hurt or profit from them.

  14. I don't understand how Menashe Miller isn't shaking in his pants right Now. Unless his pants aren't under his own name. Maybe he owns his clothes like he owns his properties. If I was him I would do what Glieberman is doing. Thank you Aaron, it was great fun but I don't want to be wearing a beige jumpsuit for the next few years. See you around .
