  1. I don't know who you think you're helping, but Chemed is one of the things that BMG does that actually helps the entire community. I couldn't afford to pay a dentist for a root canal when my tooth was killing me, thankfully i could go to Chemed.

    1. The point is not what they do. It's the blatant corruption and double standard by this township committee. The little guy is a korbon and you can't even extended your deck but if you are well connected they bend the rules pulling all kinds of shtick hiding things from the Lakewood taxpayers.

    2. Chemed is a for profit entity even though they get government grants. Why should taxpayers give them a free piece of property. They already have a massive building on rt 9 why do they need more.

    3. Are you really so naïve to believe that anything in this world is given to you for free? "There are no free lunches" – Milton Friedman. How do you think the government, federal state or local, is able to give away freebies? It's called, taxpayers. Give me a bunch of taxpayer money and I'll do more Chesed than Chemed.

    5. It depends who you get for a root canal, My friend paid cheap and ended up having to go to a specialist in Manhattan to fix up the root canal ir cost thousands. It's a clinic after all you get what you pay for.

    6. And I can't pay my property taxes that doubled since I bought my house.

    7. the quote "there is no such thing as a free lunch" predates Milton Friedman by many years.

    8. I heard it from Milton Friedman.........if you heard it from someone else then please, why don't you share? Unless of course, telling others what isn't, is the extent of your Yeshiva skills.

  2. Chemed put the hurt on many local physicians when they started and betrayed dr Jonathan Cohen at it's onset. They and their puppet master are not honorable.

    1. This is a blatant lie. The township is now trying to cover up. On November 10 the agenda that was publicized on the township website did NOT have resolution #11 on it.
To put it up now retroactively is covering up for the crime!!!!

    2. look at the township link on FAA blog, #11 is missing

    3. there are always draft agendas and revisions. you must've got a draft. question is which agenda was given out at the meeting

  4. FAA got his papers mixed up, lease is listed right here

  5. this was the link posted before the meeting
    http://www.lakewoodnj.gov/images/db/admin-9286-Agd_twpcom_11-10-16-1.pdf

somehow it disappeared and a Final agenda replaced it with resolution #11 but it was not there before the meeting.
It looks like it was retroactively posted on the township website after the fact

This seems to be a very common practice lately. Maps change for certain people's approvals. Zoning mistakes . I was at a land sale when the buyer didn't bring any money. It is unheard of that a bidder on a property should be allowed to be the winning bid without presenting his bank check at the moment of sale. Yet the buyer was told it's ok and he can bring the check later that day. No idea when or if the check ever was given. The buyer was a close friend of Meir Lichtenstein.

Corruption is always easy to take in small doses . The problem is that as a few get their little favors, others pop up and want a favor also, until finally there is a mad swirl of wrongdoing that destroys the town as a whole. We cannot have a working, viable township if so many people are getting special favors.
Speaking of special favors. I was looking to relocate toys for thought onto the. 9 now that they have destroyed the downtown. We are the largest resource for therapy toys in the area. We provide a discount for teachers and therapists. We are going to ask the township for a piece of land on rte.9 so we can better serve the therapists.
I think we should discuss the location at the next township committee meeting.

  6. The township updated there website today

  7. Now the corruption is even more blatant on the Draft version there was an ordnance about CHEMED than on the final version the ordnance disappeard and was replaced with a resolution but the resolution was not made public. this was the ordnance

    2. An Ordinance Of The Township Of Lakewood, County Of Ocean, State Of New Jersey, Authorizing The Execution Of A Lease Agreement By And Between The
Township Of Lakewood And The Center For Health, Education, Medicine And
    Dentistry

    1. What's the difference between a resolution and an ordinance?

      Delete
    2. A municipal ordinance is a rule, law or statute adopted by a municipal legislative body. ... Ordinances go into effect 30 days after adoption, unless they are enacted as an emergency ordinance. 2. A resolution is a formal expression of the opinion or will of an official municipal body adopted by a vote.

      Delete
    3. But practically what's the difference?

      Delete
    4. Very simple, an ordnance they can not hide and it sits around for 2 months so the public can know about it. A Resolution is not a change in law it's much easier to hide and they lump it together which it what the township did with the chemed property giveaway

  8. Menashe is on chemed payroll. Take him away!!!

    1. I'm sure Menashe recused himself on this one, because too many people are aware of the conflict. It's the other conflicts that he thinks people don't know about, where he can be in big trouble..

  9. so it comes down to the secretary not updating the website with the final agenda before the meeting

    ReplyDelete

    1. No, they will try to spin it that way once the govt starts to look into it. It's apparently there was a effort to hide something from the public.

  12. Rumors Menashe miller wants to run for the assembly seat recentky vacated by assemblyman David Rible. If he runs will hr have to give up the chemed job since it's a conflict of interest.

  13. what a corrupt town we are living in & what a chillul Hashem it is, the role model town for torah of BMG who runs CHEMED to be doing these dishonest & corrupt acts can never make up for this chillul Hashem, soon this will be all over social media & there will be no way for BMG to tell them to take it down like they told YWN to do yesterday about these rich people eating fancy meat in the 9 days so they could party at a siyum they are not even part of but just as an excuse of the rich with not even a feeling of remorse ...."kesef yaane es hakol" what respect do i have still ......

  14. Chemed was started by a quiet Lakewood askanim R' Halberstam abd than he needed a board eventually the vaad took it over and Halberstam was out. It was disgusting what they did to him.

  15. Chemed is a FQHC facility they get double amount paid vs urgent care centers. They are not affiliated with any hospital which is a major health concern.

  16. WHO SIGNED THE LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE TOWNSHIP ?????

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Miller was the Mayor last year. Being that he works for Chemed he had to recuse himself. Ackerman was the deputy mayor last year so he was the only one who can sign. Once the committee voted on it Ackerman does not have a choice not to sign it.

      Delete
    2. What does Miller do for Chemed is the salary public information?

      Delete
    3. Not sure what he does. Could be nothing. It is public info.

  17. Now the downsizing of Kimball hospital makes sense. Over the last few years the hospital floors were sold to private adult rehab facility. There are very little beds for the community in the general hospital.
Now it makes sense there is an interest to reduce the services there in order for. ...

  18. Chasidim from NY are coming in droves to south Lakewood. Chemed wants to preempt and cash in as the medical center for the area. They already did it with Belz giving them a bur route on the Lakewood Shuttle to CHEMED.
