Why Is There No Traffic Light At Pine and MLK?

(Submitted)
Why was the much needed light at Pine street and MLK in Lakewood never installed?

Why is Avreichim shul building at 10th and Madison still sitting empty only with a foundation?

Why are there no shuls allowed to be built in Westgate when hundreds of  parents and kids have no seats to daven?

Why are families ripped apart with Mesira to authorities alienating children from parents and no one says a word?

Why do well connected schools have busing and others still have to car pool?

Why is the culture in Lakewood of  כל דאלים גבר?

The answer is that some well connected Vaad members and township committeemen were inconvenienced by these things or have a financial gain. They put their personal interests ahead of the Kehilla at large or help their friends on the backs of others. So if your upset about sitting on Pine street for 10 years and nothing was done  its because it inconvenienced a few powerful people. Is this what a Vaad is meant for? Do you want this insanity to continue. Go out and vote send a message that enough is enough if you sit back the Charade will continue.

  1. Why did Menashe speak falsehood when he promised to reinstate the rent control board to protect the oilam hatorah??

  2. Why did he AND Coles abolish it in the first place?

    1. Why has the VAAD remained silent as the tzibbur of bnei torah they purport to represent have their rent control protections stripped away and abolished by Menashe the abolisher & his other politician buddies??

It's ridiculous that they get away everytime they repeat the claim that they represent us!

While this is indeed a major problem as a longtime Westgate resident I don't see how the VAAD is in anyway responsible for this.

    2. First of all if the Vaad is here for the residents and to build shuls why did they do nothing about westgate? Why did the Vaad not get involved and offer to help?
But digging a little deeper in the Vaad backed politicians and planning board had Illegal outside contact with members of the WG Mafia who discussed the application prior to the public hearing.
Former WG Mayor is a proxy vaad member they trusted his opinion and ignored the majority of WG residents.
There is more direct contact but not meant for a public forum.

    3. If you believe any anti VAAD candidates are going to step up and offer help for the Westgate shul situation you are not living in the world of reality.

Ditto for a lot of other expectations. And I'm voting against the VAAD.

    5. You can ask....s The "wg" mayor that you're talking about tried to make peace so that bm of kelmwoods can expand the shul. But that's only if you're interested in the truth and not machlokes.

    6. That is an absolute LIE. He has gone out of his way to cause trouble for kelm woods shul since its opening 13.5 years ago.

  4. The busing has nothing to do with Vaad or well connected. The bids this year are being done to whichever school got their forms in first. Last year was turmoil because of timing but it also was done in size of school to alleviate traffic. You can disagree but it was their decision. Westgate has nothing to do with Vaad. These types of posts ruin your credibility.

    1. cut it out. You know good and we'll who got the first bids for busing hint..who has puppets on the consortium
The LSTA Made phony excuses about bigger schools to alleviate traffic. The Roshei mosdos of other schools know the truth and so do the parents of mandated children who are still carpooling.
Now again for this year the excuse is "whichever school sent in their forms first"
Travis has a bridge to sell you.

    2. The consortium board was voted in by the schools. The fact that the small schools were dumb enough to trust the owners of the big schools to run the show, was their mistake. This year is going in order of application submission, fact is many small schools already have busing.

It's ok to be angry but wild false acccusations just hurt the cause. Unfortunately there is no need to make things up, there is more then enough true corruption to highlight.

    3. Why did LSTA threaten smaller schools that it won't go out to bid unless they have all courtesy parents pay the $150 per child fee. This is a fact.
Why is Lakewood cheder getting away with not charging parents the fee. Did the bids for Bais Faiga and Cheder not go out??

    4. Re: WG Do your homework about who is involved in stopping shuls.
It's ironic when former WG mayor currently Self appointed committee member of July court, Wanted to change a sweet to 1 way Menashe and Ray Coles were all of a sudden running to Westgate. Despite the objection of the residents living on the block.

    5. Sorry, but not buying that. A full bus is a full bus regardless of the school, but I am willing to give a pass on last year, it was new.

    6. I asked the Lsta their reasoning last year. They felt that their immediate mandate was to get the car pools off the streets as fast as possible. So getting 1000 parents off the streets took, precedence over getting 200 parents off the streets. You can disagree with Rabbi Krawicz but in the end it was his decision and he did a great job with the limited tools he was given. My kids also were from the later schools ,but its really not fair to call him nasty names when he did a job that I don't believe was possible. He was set up,to fail by the BOE monitors and he did it Anyway.

    7. No one called LSTA director with nasty names. He's hired and does what the bosses tell him. They are the ones the olam is upset at.

For the record, I fully endorse the incumbents. I have been able to get things done with ease for the past several years, and I don't want my bureaucracy to become difficult and more transparent. Please do not vote for inexperienced ba'alei machloikes!

As long as I'm in office, I will commit every shtick in my power to bury any potential for a rent control board. I've been getting away with this just fine until now and the VAAD is still backing me and my cohort Ray Coles.

So be sure to vote for my buddy Coles!

  13. The avrechim shul has nothing to do with the election. it is due to the demographics of the shul members. Most Rabonim in Lakewood used to daven in Avrechim at one point now they all lead their own kehila. Not enough members for a building campaign. Nothing to do with today's election.

It has very much to do with the election.
