Westgate residents opposed to change by township

Submitted.
The Township said it would enforce the parking on N. Crest  before changing it to a 1 way street. They say that Buses  will now go down N. Crest. Currently buses dont go on other streets in Westgate that are 1 way and hundreds of kids will still be walking to the main street. Why are a few well connected people getting their way.  This will inconvenience a lot of residents and put the safety of children and pedestrians at risk with cars flying down N. Crest if it becomes 1 way.  Traffic will now be diverted to the back parking lots creating a very dangerous situation.

  1. If the sign says no parking, IT MEANS NO PARKING!!! Just don't park where it says "no parking this side" and you wouldn't be having these issues. JUST FOLLOW THE LAW!!! End of story.

  2. Thanks to Menasha who felt it was important to schlep ladies out of their homes on Erev pesach for this ordnance that is now being voted on 3 months later. The ones pushing for it don't even live in WG or on that block. The LSTA has no business involving itself on these issues especially that those proposing this did so 10 years before the LSTA was created.
This township has proven time and again that they don't have the interests of Lakewood residents but only of the few and the well connected. And they continue to pretend that they care with the controled media. Too bad people did not come out and vote.

BTW whatever happened to the rent control board that was abolished for special interests?

    1. As always it depends who you know. Former Westgate mayor cane to the nenashe meeting a member of the LSTA consortium lives in Westgate and well connected. So I'd you ever wonder why things only get done quickly for some while others can beg for years look no further than this corrupt township.

  5. The ordnance was passed now the guys who blow through the stop signs will go 60 mph down N Crest. At the meeting FAA asked if the VAAD was behind the westgate ordnance the mayor said it wasn't the vaad but dosnt remember the names. Westgate Mayor who was involved is a Proxy VAAD member. The committee claims they worry about safety.
Where were they this whole time if the cared about safety?
Did they publicize this to all Westgate residents who dont have internet access?

Are they doing anything about the thousands of kids all ovr Lakewood who are forced to wait on dangerous roads by the LSTA, so the bus companies can chap arein another quick route?
The Mayor has the audacity to say that he cares about safety, Why did they nix stop signs at dangerous intersections in Westgate?
Why only when the guys are friendly with Menashe miller do things get done?

This is corrupt to the core

  6. Westgate was a farce and it was already paased before ayone could oppose it.
At the Erev Pesach meeting Menashe Miller had no clue what was going on he did not know the facts all he knew was his budy Yossel told him to come down. Despite an assurance from officials that they would enforce parking the fix was in to make North Crest a 1 way street no matter what. The Vaad Poop site reported earlier today that the ordnance was expected to pass.
Now lets see the officials take credit when G-D forbid something happens because of this ridiculous dangerous move

Did you come out and vote against the incumbents ? NO so shut your mouth and suffer.

You had a choice and you did not excessive it.

In fact you guys voted heavily for the incumbents.

    1. why are you Happy?

You are happy that there is a mafia in west gate who rule over the peasants?

Are you happy that the VAAD used dirty trickery and fear taking advantage to scare the unassuming to the polls?

You are happy that there is HASHCHASA in this world?

You are happy that a personal interests trumps what is best for the public at large?

      Delete
    2. I don't know if I would say that I am happy, but I do wonder about the people in Westgete, they voted more heavily for the incumbents other than a few senior districts.

      Delete
    3. There is a mafia? Where? I've been to WG many times and have friends there and never heard about any mafia. What does making a street one way (for safety) have to do with hashchasa? Just because you don't like it it's hashchasa?

      Delete
  9. I did NOT vote for the Vaad candidates

I opposed this but I was too scared of the mafia to speak out. If they fought Rav Helberg on something as desperately needed as a shul they certainly won't have issues with fighting me. I didn't go to the meetings because I knew I could never get up and challenge them.

If the mafia really cared about safety they would try to have their cronies be a little more makpid on things like Bor B'Rshus H'Rabom and not parking in front of fire hydrants.

  10. Its always that way the guys who scream about safety drive like animals speeding through stop signs blocking traffic where buses can not go through parking in front of fire hydrants etc. This ordnance had NOTHING to do with Safety. It was all about personal convenience for a few and they cleverly masked it with the safety card. The Township officials who did no research at all pretended to care about the children and safety. Now you know the rest of the story.

  11. This ordinance had ZERO to do with safety or bussing, and EVERYTHING to do with the WG mayor aka fette Yossel, being desperate for kovod and power. Proof being, if it was all about safety and bussing and residents of NCrest best interest, HOW COME NONE OF SAID RESIDENTS WERE EVER ASKED THEIR OPINION until it was presented to them as a fair accompli aka a done deal????

    ReplyDelete
  17. No I won't say that. Why would I say nobody opposed helbergs shul? There's nothing wrong with opposing it. They had and have good reason to oppose it.

As for everyone on North crest being consulted I don't know but everyone knew about it and everyone I know supported it, you guys tried making it political because you don't like the people who were pushing it. It's a good idea nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nothing wrong with opposing if your a goy. If your an orthodox Jew who doesn't care about a psak din there is something very wrong about that.
Oh I forgot your smarter then beis din, smarter than your own rav who says it should not be opposed and smarter than the Ribono shel oilam

Is that the answer you will give after 120?
Is that what your einiklach will say about you that you were proud to oppose a shul?
You are happy that three lazy guys can park in front of their house and not walk to the back parking lot but you are even happier that hundreds of kids have no place to daven. You are happy that yenem is in tzaar....feh feh.... check your yichus

    3. I checked and it's all good.

    4. You just decided that all comments you don't like we're written by the same person. I didn't say that I'm happy about any of this but there was good reason to oppose the shul at that location the way it was planned, that doesn't make anyone a goy or mushchas or a Nazi and it doesn't mean they think they're smarter than beis din or hashem. The things you guys come up with is mind boggling.

      Delete
    5. Besides NOBODY opposes your shul, all that happened was some people had valid concerns about the way the shul was being built at that location and nobody was willing to listen to those concerns so they were left with no choice but to stop it at the township. This could have easily been resolved if you guys were willing to listen to other peoples concerns and you would have had a shul by now. Instead you chose to kick and scream and call people the most horrible names, that obviously didn't get you too far.

      Delete
    6. It's even more mind boggling that frum people could oppose a shul, ignore a psak din and publicly embarrass the people running the shul. Screaming at Rav Pinchos in public, saying Rav A Helberg is unreasonable to deal with etc. how are you justifying these things?

      Delete
    7. Anon 6:28am stop spewing venom! The Helberg's modified and modified and modified and you still weren't happy. It has nothing to do with the size of the shul OR the location. It also has nothing to do with safety or tznius. The only thing it has to do with is that the Helberg shul is a totally separate entity which has nothing to do with the Ropschitz shul and therefore the power hungry people in Westgate have no power over it. This bothers them because it means they don't have total monopoly over Westgate and that's unthinkable! Therefore they can't fargin and will go to any lengths to make sure they stay in control. If that means stopping a shul or embarrassing people berabim then too bad!

      Delete
    8. Screaming at "Rav Pinchos" in public? I don't know who did that but not such a bad idea. Saying that Rav A is unreasonable? It's true. And even if it were wrong all this doesn't come close to calling people Nazis simply because they disagree with you.

      Delete
    9. How about the thugs that almost lynched the rov of WG in his house? They came to other homes too late at night and forced their way in threatening them.. do you condone that abi noone says anything to "Rav Pinchos"?

    10. Last time I checked there IS shul that is a separate entity so how does stopping a big building give them any more power? They didn't close down the shul.

    11. I get it, Screaming at "Rav Pinchos" in public is just fine, but if chas vesholom someone comes to your rav and takes him to task for his hooligans, that is just so terrible.

I have a one sided view of things because I think there's a difference between voicing your opinion to "Harav Hagaon Rav Pinchos" and thugs practically breaking into someone's house late at night and especially the Rov???

Why are you divorcing people? Because they disagree with you? You are making a complete fool of yourself, and like someone said a long time ago your behavior completely weakens your argument.

    4. That's not true. Nobody is trying to stop him from having a shul. The building he wanted to build at that location was the problem and had he been willing to listen to anyone other than himself and hear their concerns he would have a shul already. Since he wasn't willing to talk there was no choice but to stop it by the township.

The lesson you should learn is when someone opposes you the way to go about it is not to ignore them and call them Nazis online and declare in shul that they are mizera small that will not get you anywhere. The proof is that a year later you have no shul and you're still regirgetating the same old arguments again and again. Had you dealt with it like a mentch you would have a beautiful shul now.
