  1. Mr Travis, if you win and I hope you do. Don't forget your campaign promise do build a bridge. Make the people on the other side of the lake pay for it. And believe me they will. It will be a huge bridge!

  4. Lakewood is done, next time will be too late, theee will be approvals for another 1800 homes on the Golf Course.

Looks like the Frum didn't vote, and the Seniors voted overwhelmingly for the incumbents.Don't want to hear them kvetch about traffic anymore.

For that matter, very few people have a right to kvetch about anything. They didn't vote when they had a chance.

Vaad and Committeemen are going to be emboldened, it's going to be build build build, 4 story apartments replacing homes.

  6. Actually we should be very proud of ourselves!!! If we would have joined under one person against the vaad we could have taken a victory!! I would believe that the vaad is somewhat frightened regarding the exact number of people voted against them as voted pro them !!! All the Chevra here Chazak Chazak we will succeed. Ps thank you Hershel for always standing up !!! #4theklal

  7. We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender

  8. There will never be a day that anyone other than BMG endorsed candidates will win. Ever.
I said this 6 months ago. I sat and watched the losers waste their money and efforts on something the is totally impossible.
Maybe, maybe, if there were some rabonimm that endorsed an apposing candidate there is a tiny chance of eeking out a win. And that will never happen.
So clip this post, save it and put on your fridge. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!! Unless you have Rabonim on your side that will openly support you.

    1. There will never be a day that Rav will be able to stand up publicly to the Yeshiva and plea for his flock. SAD!

    2. There will be a day, but it will be the Chassidish oil am that takes over. The litvish will continue to move to TR and Jackson

    3. Prophet is right. there never was and never will be a day anyone won or will win against BMG W/O Rabbinic backing

  9. Is it possible to write in a candidate twice, being that everyone has two votes? This way we could double our vote and maybe pick off one seat?

  10. @HH We should at least call for a special vote on term limits. How many signatures do we need to call for a special vote?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow. So sad. I took my 12th grader to vote! It was that important to me. Voting is serious business. Every person should be voting. Voting shows you care about your town and state and country. I don't believe no one cares. This lack of voting reflects an uncaring nature from a community that has caring naturally pouring out from their Neshamos. How can people be so polar opposites in caring????

  12. Too many people ran on the Republican primary. From the 3 who ran, had they been united into one candidate, they would have come in second over Berman.

  13. The Vaad did not win. They actually lost big time!! The politicians now see that the Vaad can no longer deliver the votes. The seniors are the big winners in this election as they have proven they can deliver more votes then the Vaad

  18. I there was some fear on the senior part to have a completely orthodox board. This will not be the case when Miller and Lichtenstien are up for reelection next yr.

    1. Miller is very good at the PR game, next year will be much heavier turn out, this was the last chance.

  19. The seniors have no right to complain about ANYTHING!
They voted for density and corruption, Hypocrites.

  20. The anti vaad anti BMG oilam come across as balei machlokos. Every post uses bad language to describe the Vaad and incumbents. You won't get anywhere like that. Most people don't want machlokes even if they have issues.

    1. 1. The VAAD started this machlokes they ran a real nasty campaign
      2. the have a choke-hold on the olam you expect people to be silent an act nice?

  21. The frum Seniors did not vote for the Vaad. They dont trust them after Cedarbridge.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Can we get a count of how many of coles votes were from the "seniors district"? It makes a big difference in order to see how many votes the vaad actually got vs opposition.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You can if you want to spend the time, it is broken down by district, and the township has the polling location of each district on their website. The seniors overwhelmingly voted for the incumbents.

    2. The majority of Democrat Votes were in Seniors Districts

  23. Nice to see the Lakewood Vaad supporting an Anti Semite. Supporting a candidate who called the Jewish community in Lakewood .....

  24. Does anyone know what it takes to get a special vote for term limits?

I think that we will have many thousands that will vote together for term limits, which would make the next election a done deal.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey VAAD, at the very least 1,224 people are pissed off , please get the msg and re adjust to the will of the oilem

  26. For all those who didn't vote: tomorrow when you are sitting in traffic and want to blame someone, there is a convenient mirror attached to the visor in your car

    ReplyDelete
  27. Everyone I know is against Coles & D'elia, but everyone I know didn't vote!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I never want to hear or see a senior say another word about congestion and traffic in this town. What a bunch of hypocrites. Just not to vote for a Jewish name.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Study the results, cause if most voting was in senior community than the anti vaad oilam can run 2 independent candidates in November

    ReplyDelete
  30. You guys made a big mistake. You didn't do any campaigning by the seniors. Instead, you've made it "Us against them". Naturally, they voted for those they feel would stand up for them - the non-frum candidates.

Next time, campaign by the seniors too.

Oh, and don't forget that most yungerleit don't have internet. So you need to get out and campaign in the streets.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So the vaad has a good chance in November if the whole anti vaad vote is do Small, as usually the turn out is about 9k

  32. Berman is a very Jewish name
