Residents have the commiteemen fidget and squirm in their seats

At the Lakewood township committee meeting last night residents lobbed hard ball questions at the committee and Mayor from all angles. Residents questioned how the committee and township boards continue to ignore the will of the majority of Lakewood. They say one thing at the meetings but then do the opposite. A Resident questioned the committee's about face regarding density after a letter(see below) was signed by all  committeemen (except for Issac Akerman) advising the master plan committee to see if and where density  is appropriate for Lakewood. Just a few month before, Committeeman Miller vowed there will be no more density. They responded with political spin and passed the buck, that its up to the master plan committee to make the decision on Density.
First Amendment Activist, called them out for the behavior of the zoning and planning boards, meeting with applicants before public hearings and not reigning in on them. Mr Hershel Herskowitz blasted them for favoring local media companies who give them good press coverage by giving away township land and permits for digital bill boards that most of the town is against and presents a danger to both pedestrians and drivers.
One of the most shocking charge was about what went on at the masterplan committee meeting last week, where developers paid people to come speak and clap, it caused a tremendous chilul hashem as they pretended to represent the frum community.
Mr Aaron Hirsh schooled the township after doing some research and claimed the makeup of the master plan committee is not with state guidelines, is full of conflicts and should be considered null and void.

  1. You're my go to site to see what's Really happening in Lakewood. But please try to be professional and have someone proofread your posts. There are a couple of glaring spelling mistakes (typos?) that should be corrected. "Than" instead of "then" and "were" instead of "where"

  2. As long as they are subservient to the vaad and their cronies...
We don't want to know of them in any way, shape or form.

Just get out of my hair.

  5. 3 candidates running ruins it for all.
The goal is the 8 ball, to knock out the incumbents.

  6. Finally a candidate that actually speaks up against the establishment. All of the other candidates are completely silent and absent in public where it actually counts. Shame on them for not speaking out and supporting this taking down of the establishment at its roots. The establishment tried to sneak in all kinds of higher density into the master plan, but Aaron stopped them in their tracks. He actually stopped the whole master plan process and taught the whole town the laws and now this game, behind closed doors in private, is over for the master plan committee and our future building. No one is actually giving Hirsch the credit for what he actually accomplished last night. Apparently he was the only one that did his homework, and learned the laws that no one knew in the entire Lakewood. All of the building approvals in this town are always based on the master plan, but if the master plan doesn't say 'increase density' or says decrease density, the planning and zoning boards with the help of FAA, will get all of these ridiculous building approvals before planning and zoning boards will be dead in the water, with no possible approval. Thank you Aaron Hirsch for all of your time and continued efforts, you should have much Hatzlacha in your fight against the corruption in town.

    3. That was just as well written as your speech Mr.Hirsh. your research was very well done. But all that time was wasted because we all knew that the entire master plan committee was a farce, and not a legally binding entity.

  7. Such good questions! What did Menashe say about first declaring he's against density and then signing the letter begging for density?? Do they really think we are all such fools??
