Report: Website owner joins the Lakewood Vaad

First amendment activist reports owner of Lakewood scoop website has joined the vaad and is its newest member.  If true , this is very indicative of the vaads motives to stay in power at all costs. To represent a select few, ignore the residents and silence taxpayers who have very ligament concerns. The self appointed vaad promised to revamp and set up a ichud  rabbonim who will guide them.  Turns out it was all talk and now as their is a threat to their power all they do us resort to propaganda and shamelessly call frum upstanding residents who are alumni of BMG, as unqualified.  Actions prove louder than words.  The Vaad was AWOL for the last 15 years it's time to stop the Gneivas Daas of unassuming Residents Who waste hours all day sitting in traffic, Can't afford their taxes and take advantage of them with scare tactics to keep the developers and we'll connected ones in power.

  4. Can someone provide the names of the Vaad members and their businesses.
Many feel the time has come to stay away from those businesses that are hurting the Tzibur.

I know several people that have sent in legitimate questions for Ray Coles, but the Scoop refused to even let them be posted on his site because there is no real answer, other than Coles and fhe rest of the gang on the Committee looking like hypocrites.

For instance, in late 2016 Menashe Miller publicly stated that he will do everything he can to reappoint and get the rent control board back in service, instead of his secretly conspired plot to abolish the board. So the obvious question begs.. Why is it already mid-2017 and the board has still not been allowed by these committee members to be brought back into operation??

TLS has refused to post this legitimate question. Why? Whom is he selecting to protect??

    2. Hmmm... I was must thinking about..

      Menashe M.. the rent-control-abolisher & developer-protector
      R. Coles... the high-density-activist
      TLS........ the commenter/poster-banner
      VAAD....... the put-the-opposition-in-cherem-organization
      M. D'Elia.. the Nepotist
      Meir L..... the street-vacator

This almost sounds like some of the species you will find in a swamp.

  9. Question: The Vaad got the roshei yeshiva yo write a letter in support of their candidates. As a Lakewood resident who pays taxes, my Rabbi told me yo vote for whomever I feel has my best interests in mind. So why when it comes to the machlokes in eretz yisrael there is no problem choosing sides and one does not have to listen to either Rav Rav Chaim kanievsky etc.. but here no one can have an opinion?
What makes anyone beholden to a vaad that was never even appointed by the community or any rabbonim.
It was formed in the late 90's.

    1. If the Roshei Yeshiva knew the full story of the what goes on in Lakewood Poltics, they would at best recuse themselves as they have negius. Hashochad Yaaver Einei Chachomim. the fact that they didn't and signed the letter, leads me to believe they are being fed the information that certain people want them to hear.

Even when some of them couldn't speak out against CedarBridge, they never signed a letter to support it. Cedarbridge and Vaad is the same problem. If one is wrong, so is the other.

    2. Ironically the vaad was formed to counter ShenkY's political clout when AK took power.

  10. This is incredible the vaad never panicked like this its only a primary. The young can not afford another humiliation after the cedarbridge mall fiasco. The politicians are watching closely the cronyism power feels threatened.

    Dear Lazer,
Remember who started to help your blog become so popular? Remember how you used to call me every day and ask me to write you another article? Remember you always needed new exciting subjects , so you would ask me to write about everything from schools to fights about tznius under different names Just to help you become popular? Remember how popular you site became when we bashed singer and the vaad? Remember how you dropped me like a hot potato before the election when they handed you your cherem letter? Remember when you couldn't be bought with a few led billboards? Remember when you stood up for what's right?

  13. When Christie ran against Corzine the vaad endorsed Corzine (they wanted a favor for cedarbridge) they put out a letter from the Roshei Yeshiva but that wasn't enough they also went running to Bnei Brak and got a letter
the result: Christie won Lakewood by 75% of the vote. The Olam wasn't fooled. but sadly Christie never got over the vaad snub and to this day Lakewood suffers from it.

  17. Avreichim shul sits empty because a vaad member threatened to use his clout I order to get his way. Is this what unites the town?

Funds of over one million dollars alloted for lakewood taxpayers was diverted by the township to benefit cedarbridge 10 years ago is that what you call uniting the town?

The rent control board was abolished by the current township committee backed by the vaad to favor some individuals
    Who is dividing the town??

Who continues to hijack the block vote for personal favors from politicians,

  18. Michael Inzelbuch, Esq. said on TLS "If you live in Lakewood you need to be machshiv Lakewood Roshei Yeshiva and at the very least dialogue with them".

    I agree with that statement.

    1. I am very much Machshiv some of them, but if they really did sign this letter, I will not be following it.

You can have the best computer program, but if you put in faulty data, it won't run properly, we know where they are getting their data from.

    2. Do you also agree with Michael I statement that if you don't agree with the Vaads endorsements you should move to
      Jackson?

Funny how TLS made Michael I into an Asken. He works for a paycheck. His opinion is no more valuable then any of the other 100,000 people in Lakewood

  19. Fear tactics deception and deceit is how they operate not much of a yiddishe way to say the least. What is most upsetting is that the township issues have nothing to do with the yeshiva directly. No matter who wins or sits on the commitee they will all support and help the yeshiva.
This is all about putting money in the pockets of the well connected developers or buying power through control of government as a way to fund raise by having access to the gelt. Look at what is going on all young kollel guys are moving out to Jackson because they cant afford to live in Lakewood. The developers are building homes and mass developments for chasidim who never learned in BMG or even stepped foot in Lakewood. The vaad talking points about loosing the block vote on the state and county level is bogus since most of the times the town votes the same way. It was the VAAD who backed Corzine against the will of most of Lakewood who voted for CHristie.

The Vaad control of local government is all about Power Money and control. for that no one has to sacrifice their quality of life for it.

It's not the first time someone forged a letter over there. In 1997 (or around) when PG was running against Langert, there was a letter circulating from the cheder that they endorse PG, who was AK's pick. There was a meeting in AK's office and Manies stormed in there and said straight out that the cheder dosn't make endorsements and he never wrote such a letter. B'kitzur, the hanky panky has been going on for a while, i wouldn't trust these people with a nickel. [AK was just starting then, he came to Lakewood in 1994 with his blue Ford Expedition.]

  21. Its pretty pathetic that you have to resort to falsehoods to make your case. Everybody knows the Rosh Yeshivas signed this letter. They generally sign for the Vaad so why tjink its is forged when it is clearly not. You can ask them and they will tell you they wrote it and signed it . You really think they want HH to win the elections ?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Maybe not HH, but I seem to have a higher opinion of them than you do. I give them benefit of the doubt that they would not be give people a bad eitza=lifnei eveir

When i ran against Bob Singer in 2010, Shenky went around to get signatures from all the roshei mosdos . Nobody wanted to sign. So he forged signatures. Then he told a few that others signed and they should sign also. The vaad is very tricky, conniving and dishonest. But it's all for the good of the klal, right?
