We do not need a bunch of empty promises. Hirsh thinks that we can make infrastructure changes to accommodate more building. While that may have been the case ten years ago when he wasn't even considering moving here, it is sadly not the case now. Hirsh has met with the VAAD and other well connected "leaders" .They are using him to split the vote so their candidates will win and we can continue to build massive developments without taking current residents needs into consideration.
We cannot get sidetracked with wannabe politicians that are being used to stop what needs to be done.
He is not discussing any real solutions, because he has no idea what Lakewood needs.
    On June 6th
    If you are a Democrat
    Vote
    Gruman
    Raitzik
If you are a Republican seeking an end to the madness in our town.
    Vote!
    Sharaby
    Travis
This is nothing personal Mr Hirsh. We have been working towards making real changes for over seven years. We cannot let you ruin what needs to get done. Your ads, pens, american flags and unspecific promises with no real ideas will not stop us from accomplishing our goals.

    1. Noone should listen to the vaad because they should think for themselves, but Harold we should listen to. And please don't reply there's a difference because you have the good of the town in mind as opposed to the vaad, because everyone knows you have as much of an agenda as them.

  2. Thanks- 2 more mail-in ballots went out in today's mail.
It was for Sharab & Travis for Township committee.

Won't you also join us electing sharaby & Travis?

  3. From Hirchs website

"I would like to see more communication between the
different township committees and departments. After going to several meetings for each committee, I can attest to a lack of communication between the committees."

How naive can you be, no communication between the committees? the members of all these committees were appointed by the Township Committee to do exactly what they are doing.

  4. A Quote from Hirsch

"In 2013, I moved to Lakewood with my family. We liked the idea of open
    space, green grass, safe streets,...."

2013 was only 4 years ago at most, if these were the reasons he moved to Lakewood it shows a severe lack in judgement.

    1. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Plenty of that in Lakewood, perhaps not on Clifton, in the center of town. Maybe you should consider a tour of Lakewood before you speak. Plenty of green and open space.

    2. Anon 3:37 you have low standards

  5. HH- you ran THREE times! and can't even get past the primaries. Your "candidates" only have YOU speaking for them. They have never once spoken up for themselves or for the people of Lakewood, while Mr. Hirsch has gone to the public meetings, and the CAFRA event with the State. He isn't afraid to speak up. You know about him because he is out there. Who are Travis and Sharaby? What are their capabilities? or will they just repeat what you tell them to?

I ran three times(once for Senate against Singer)and won the majority of the Jewish vote each time by a large margin. I also never ran with a goal to win. I wanted to bring awareness to The issues. I was shocked each time by how many votes I received as an anti VAAD candidate. The seniors were misled each time by our pal bob singer. But they aren't buying that any more . Aaron Hirsh would continue the Lakewood tradition of clueless politician spouting what he thinks people want to hear so he can get in office and stay there. We can't let that happen again .

I saw Hirsh speak at meetings and sat there face palming through each speech. He stands there like he has just found the solution to our problems, asking questions about issues that have been discussed ad nauseum over the past ten years. " Did we ever do an analysis to see if more housing costs us money or makes more money? I don't know , im just asking". Please spare us the adulation. The other candidates know what needs to get done and they will do it. They are not new to the politics of Lakewood. They don't have to ask questions any longer. They know what to do, and will do it. They didn't beg to meet with the VAAD. The VAAD is scared of them, and they should be. They are allowing Hirsh to be in local magazines because they know they can control him and they know he has no chance to win, but can take votes from the opposition . We can't let that happen.

    3. HH, you make some great points... except you haven't said anything to convince us that the 2 candidates you're pushing know what's going on and will be any better than Hirsh. One of them is a 25 year old bochur who's claim to fame is that he's the "king of whatsapp". I'm sorry, that doesn't strike me as a serious candidate. For all the faults you note of Hirsch, he is trying hard at least. Isn't the main point to unseat the establishment candidates (Coles and Delia)? I don't hear or see anything from Sharabi and Travis in terms of campaigning...Why do you think they have a better shot at getting votes than Hirsh does?

  6. It seems the mail-in ballots are going for Sharaby & Travis. Hirsch is not coming across as the one that will represent the interests of the silent majority.

  7. Trv strong and calling out the fact that he is single is pure racism

  8. For the record, most of the senior community agrees with that. Hirsch is the only candidate out there at all events trying to make a difference. All other candidates have been missing in action at events that are important to seniors and the rest of the town. Do the other candidates actually walk the walk? June 6th will be a very sobering experience when the real people speak. Experience matters when you apply for a job, and running this Township is no simple job.

  9. HH, did you actually say that you ran as a joke? That wasn't a serious run? Is this a game to you? You asked all of the people to vote for you and you weren't even serious about running to win? Please explain why you would bear the embarrassment to run and no intention to win? Huh???

I, as opposed to this Hirsh character ,understood the reality. When i ran against singer the first time, I did it to get people to wake up and see that not all is right in lakewood. I was asked to run as a favor to people that were hurt by his actions. I didn't have delusions that I would win, and I didn't runs round kissing babies and handing out pens. I wrote articles with actual ideas on how we can improve the town. I didn't just say "increase infrastructure" with no idea how that will happen. I was pleasantly surprised that I got my community's vote against a VAAD campaign of epic proportions. And in the end I prevailed. I got rid of Bob Singer.Quite a big deal I would say. If it weren't for my efforts seven years ago, who knows how much worse off we would be. I know it's not that great now, but it would have been much worse. As for my campaign against singer for senator. I wanted him to see that Lakewood does not support him. He actually moved out of Lakewood soon after that election. He claims that he spent 175 thousand dollars in that campaign. I spent 500 dollars for one ad and two robo calls. I would consider that a cause worth voting for . Maybe you should run. I think Your snarky attitude is just what the town needs right now.
As for Hirsh, he is exactly what Lakewood does not need. We need people willing to serve, not start a new career. We don't have time to help him with his midlife crisis dreams.

Ok. Enough of this silliness. My apologies to Mr. Hirsh If i insulted him. I encourage him to find a different hobby.
We need to realize some radical changes in our town. In order to do that we need to elect four new people to run in the general election.
    Democrats and independents
    Please vote.
    Gruman
    Raitzik
Republicans that reject the Republican clubs pick (shame on you)
    Should vote

  15. People have been approached by the establishment in the past and asked to run as an "anti-establishment" candidate as fear of the anti-establishment winning keeps growing. Who do we trust? Who is playing the two faced game? Please guide us.
