  1. As far as I see there is nothing new here. They have always tried to market this to attract corporate office building users. They are saying that parcels for office buildings are available in size from minimum 3 acres to a maximum of 280 acres total. They have been trying to do this for 20 years. Why are you spinning this as a change of plans ? If anything it shows they are back to the original intent of office park and not retail.

  3. Why would they get the land for free just to post it for sale. I would have posted it for sale at no charge on Loopnet, and the Township could have saved a $60 million

  4. A. You are 20 years too late with that tayna.

    B. Most of us are here because of the yeshiva and we fathom the Yeshiva to have the land for free to have an endowment.

    C. When they got it 20 years ago it was worth a fraction of what it's worth now.

  5. They did nothing with it for 20 years. Lakewood should take it back and sell it so we the taxpayers can benefit...

Really??? Most of us are ok with giving our land away millions of dollars of taxmoney away??? I don't think so!! Not only that but if you anything about Rav Aron zt'l he was so makpid to never take from the public anything for BMG.. this is the opposite of what Rav Aron zt'l would do!

  7. It's rumored that Menash is planning to step down at the end of 2017. In all likely Meir will follow.

Langert was pushed out by the Vaad. He doesn't know how lucky he is.

Since building a yeshiva campus is not any longer feasible on the property, perhaps we should consider using the land as a recreational area. A Lakewood central park with numerous themed playgrounds, a bike path, skating area, handball courts etc. An income producing attraction would also make sense, such as a children's museum with exhibition space for traveling shows to go with the outdoor area. Lakewood has grown four times it's size in a short period of time. We have nothing to show for all this growth. Let's put something on the property that can help Lakewood hold its head up high and be proud and produce income for it's residents while creating a better quality of life.
