  1. Do we need to babysit the committeemen every 2 weeks to make sure they do their job??

    Time to vote them out!!

  4. this is unconscionable beyond belief. I just want an answer as to why Ray Coles is even considering putting peoples lives in danger by putting this back on the agenda. This is the last straw. I know I said that 50 straws ago, but I hope everyone now sees clearly that our best interests are not what our current township committee has in mind.

  5. This is beyond shocking It's scary when there is no shame anymore. The only thing that makes a politician honest is the fear if shame. When there is no more embarrassment we are in serious trouble. We should start a recall on this committee TODAY!
It's very obvious the interests of these committeemen and it's not for the taxpayers who voted for them.

  6. You can get an injunction from a judge. U just have to know how to go about it. U may have to take it to a state level.

  7. Another resolution appointing daughter of committteman Mike Delia to the newly created HR department for Lakewood township. Just wondering if it had anything to do with Delia withdrawal from taking the mayorship.

  8. Anyone know the process of recalling a member of the Township Committee?

    2. Start it I am in. It will be a big slap in the face that there is a recall election on the sitting anointed mayor of lkwd

  9. This is outrageous let the national media cone down and report on the laughing stock of this township government. Is this all a payback to someone who gives the powers to be a platform to peddle lies and spins??

  10. The committee should publicly explain what is going on here. They owe an apology to the constituents who elected them for treating us as buffoons.

  11. I'd you would tell me these committeemen have a gun to their head at least it's not their fault and you can't blame them for their actions. If they are doing this on their own then we must take away the keys because they are incompetent.

    1. Dave you are very shortsighted there is no guarantee that the content displayed on these boards will be controlled by a frum company. No matter how smart the township think they are by not issuing permits to others to have digital billboards, there are many possible scenarios that a goyish company will end up controlling them. Or even nothing stopping others from displaying these boards on private property. There is no need or these boards and advertisers on it could possibly be facing potential boycotts from angry residents

    2. I wouldn't blame the committee men for this one. They for sure are being made crazy by someone to be doing this.

    3. Why can't they legally find out who is behind this? Isn't it public record?

    4. A certain local website that posts fake news is the one pushing desperately for this!

    5. The township cannot stop existing billboards from becoming digital, but they most certainly do not have to allow these 5 billboards at all. Any billboards cannot legally be denied to become digital according to NJ supreme Court, but this is the approval for 5 new billbords. We will Opra request all correspondence between Ray Coles and Mr Hasenfeld. I don't appreciate a local blog using its supposed influence to kill drivers in our town. Please call advertisers and kindly request they remove their ads from his site. Let's show him who really has the power in this town.

Tip: We are entitled to OPRA request Ray Coles' government AND personal emails for said communications, because as evidenced on several occasions, he clearly uses his personal email to conduct government business.

As such, he is required under the law to take all necessary steps to permanently preserve his personal email account's correspondences, as they are discover-able under NJ statute.

I will further add that we may have evidence of MM (among others) also using his private email address to conduct government business.

Please note that if these committeemen take any (direct or indirect) action to destroy or delete any government-related email communications, they are liable to be prosecuted for official misconduct.

I highly doubt they'll be able to pull off a Hillary-style stunt.

  15. (Monsey chicken)... and company was also a היימעשע company. Just look what that caused. Also , if this company goes bust and is resold to a goyishe company then u r going to have big issues with pritzus

  16. Everybody calm down if you would be in their shoes and get a filled envelope you would do the same. You can't blame them unless you offer a more stuffed envelope and free coverage as well

    1. I could blame them. They don't have to take envelopes and always have the option of resignation. Also , speak for yourself. Just because u would take money does not mean everyone else would do the same!

  17. That's absolutely sickening these are government officials I mean puppets if they only do what's safe and right when they get stuffed envelopes then send them home where they belong NOW!

  20. From what I hear from an inside source, if you own a property now on rt 9 etc. you can put up a digital billboard NOW. What this ordinance is supposed to do is Lock everyone else out and only allow this company. So if you own on rt 9 and want to put one up on your own land you won't be able too. But these guys will be able to lease land and put one up.

Not true at all. According to the Supreme Court ruling, if you have a billboard you cannot be prevented from converting to digital. That cannot change .By allowing these new billboards they are literally adding 5 new digital ones to the mix. This must be stopped. There are no large billboards in Lakewood and they cannot be made larger if they make them digital. These are monstrous sized digital billboards that will blind and distract drivers and put lives in danger. Please come and scream at the committee. Yes scream

  21. This just goes to show that we can't trust Ray Coles!!

    VOTE HIM OUT!!!!

  22. Look at the broader picture. We need an ordinance that once you put a request on the agenda, you cannot do that again for six months. And once it jas been on three times, it cannot go on again for five years. That will stop these kinds of shenanigans

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hershel, have you filed the opra request? Please include township attorney, according to some he advised that this is illegal. We are all scared but you are not.

This is corruption out in the open. In our face. They are spitting in the face of each and every lakewood resident. They always do that, but this time it is so obvious.

We need to call advertisers on TLS and ask them to stop advertising .Everyone should know that we will ignore any ads on these billboards. Dinners, Schools, businesses need to know they have a responsibility to not endanger the people of lakewood. There are many people that call businesses to say they are displeased.

  26. The former head of the planning board CASHED in all his chips before he left by being a very vocal partner to a high density site that was approved under his watch. In most towns this would be a crime
