  1. NO MORE VARIANCES!!!! If you currently own property then we ant going to freeze you out from construction bc thats not fair nor is it probably legal but you want to take single family lot and build two houses or duplex on it?! NO WAY ! DONE ! OVER ! look at every single one of these all asking for variances to build more than whats its ZONED for. enough is enough . Go make money in another town

  5. A lot of people are afraid to speak because of the cameras. Nobody wants to become a WhatsApp sensation.

    1. I am afraid to speak without the cameras - i don't want my friend to see that i absolutely think their casa nova is crazy for lakewood - the congestion on clifton ave is insane - but i am afraid to say my mind - i wish there could be anonymous presentations that are read at the meetings.

    2. There would be no video. Brian would say some shtickle toira how it is really to the benefit and will decrease traffic. It would get approved and you would have accomplished 0. Now when you speak the board is scared to approve when there are too many people protesting as ti does not look very good for the board now that the whole world can see it on yuotube.

  8. The cameras actually hurt us. A lot of people would speak up but don't like the cameras. Its not that they are afraid ,its just not comfortable being on display on camera. If somebody would bring a video camera into every restaurant and film people eating ,nobody would eat there. Its just not pleasant being on camera display. It has nothing to do with having something to hide.

    1. Come on. Without the cameras no one would have any clue what was going on. Take Back Lakewood would not exist and the boards would still be the wild west like they were before all this started.

    3. "The cameras actually hurt us." I am not buying it, there is no way you really believe that.

If there were no cameras, even if 100 people spoke up at the meetings, it would be worthless, because no one else would know, and they could be ignored.

    4. can someone please explain the new rules in simple english.

    5. 6 out of 9 applications were carried. Hopefully that won't happen with the new rules.

  9. Please stop complaining about the camera... You are NOT becoming a watsapp sensation I know you'd like to think so but.... I and many others spoke up by recorded meetings and we did not become any watsapp sensations.. unless you do something retarded you are not becoming a watsapp sensation these recording have definately added acountability to these meetings Proof Mr. Penzer tried to block it zoning board members were not showing up. ... people now get to see which members are working for who... I dont believe for a second there's more then a handful of people that aren't speaking because of being camera shy Im not even so sure these complaints are for real probably some devoloper trolling this site.... and if you care so much how about asking Mr. Freidman to cut your face out like he does to himself. .

    3. I read the APP article, I don't see him saying he is pro growth? I see him saying that he wants to listen before making decisions.
"Gross said as a newcomer to local politics it's premature for him to propose any specific initiatives.
"I believe that I'm going to add a different, fresh perspective," he said. "I'm definitely ready to listen."

      Delete
    4. Ok well then the question is why he ran for committee but didn't campaign anywhere at all. Who asked him to run without campaigning? Give me a V. Give me an A....

      Delete
    5. He says: “It's very, very complicated. It's very nice to say, 'Let's slow things down,'" said Gross, a corporate attorney. "There are people who want to move to Lakewood. It's a challenge."

    6. Gross is a vaad poodle. He was put in by the powers that be. meir Lichtenstein holding the leash.

  12. I thought so, why did they hire another property investor to the planning board? Owns land on Pine St.Used to own it jointly with wife, sold it to his sole ownership for 1$

  13. Gross can say what he wants it makes no difference. He was put there by the band he is their puppet. They first use him as a place holder to run against Ackerman and now the vaad special interests put him on the zoning board.
    Corruption continues.
