  1. nice advertisement for the contractors & builders & realtors, to help them continue raising prices to crazy amounts & invite the world to move to lakewood & continue squashing it up more

where in town is the location?

  2. Make your tax deductible donations to Sanz Kalusenberg direct to Lakewood Township Tax Collector. This wonderful altruism and welcoming of all fellow Jews with open arms will benefit a few people that had land they paid pennies for, all at the expense of current Lakewood residents. But who wants to be a kvetch about it. Just let it go.
If you don't come to tonight's town meeting at 730 you will have nobody to blame but yourself. Keep saying that as you sit in worse traffic and struggle to pay your tax bill.

  3. Harold, do you have stuffed envelopes prepared to hand out to the Committee members? Oh yeah, and stop defending Akerman. If he can't vocally stand up to the troblemakers on the board, then he is complicit in their actions. If he's afraid then he should RESIGN! What a disgrace!

  4. This is why Lakewood home prices are out of the reach for any young couple currently living in Lakewood. The askanim developers and realtors are shopping homes to people living in Brooklyn luring them to Lakewood with cheaper housing than what they would have to pay in NY. As a result the average young couple renting in Lakewood can not compete or even put up enough for a down payment. So all this talk of housing shortage is baloney and the investors and developers are lining their pockets congesting Lakewood roads for imports and sadly those who call Lakewood home are now moving deep into Jackson, Howell, Toms River and other neighboring towns or even to Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas and other out of town communities.

    2. They may be great but why should a couple have to move when they have all their family in Lakewood ,their children already in school and have friends here. Imports from Brooklyn is the problem because we are not having a natural growth where prices would be affordable since you dont have that many people fighting over each house.

    3. There's free tuition in Cleveland for one. We are talking about the cost of living, right?

    4. The cost of living outside the tri state area is much higher my in laws live in Florida a day kosher food prices are double of over here that's why people don't move out of town so quickly even tho housing is cheaper day to day living expenses are more

    5. He did stand up by saying we are officially telling the master plan committee that we do not want density. but yes we do need more than that now. we need to go back to the old zoning maps before meir and menashe got their sticky fingers on them. That is what I will be advocating tonight. If they cant oblige, we have other plans for them.

    6. I'm also puzzled by HH's endorsement of Akerman so soon after his vote in favor of the Oak St core. What good does his letter do if he turns around and votes for the most dense housing anywhere in Lakewood? And right on Rt 9, too.

    7. He is a single voice. He was told that if they didn't approve the plan there would be a multitude of smaller developments anyway. He was told that there would be more open space this way. Unfortunately we now see what happens with set aside open space. It gets foreclosed on by the township and then sold to one of Menashes friends at a tax sale. Then they get approvals on it and menashe puts a few more $$ in his mattress. Akerman is too honest to believe that people could be so corrupt. Even I couldn't believe what I have been hearing. Those two gotta go. One way or another . We can't afford this anymore.

    8. This shows the Rishus of Anshei Westgate.

They are preventing a shul from being built with a claim that it is on an open space because of some old by law, leaving hundreds of families without a mokom Torah uTfila . Whereas Menashe and Yossell are approving the same open space for their own pockets.

Anshey Westgate Roim Vchatoim Lashem We know who you are!

  5. Akermans vote did not effect the density over there.

  6. Please cite examples of Akerman opposing any detrimental development supported by the power brokers.
