Lakewood Vaad election notice avoids presidential endorsement

-NO presidential endorsement citing a long standing policy not to endorse presidential candidates( bush 43?)
-On Taxes- Fighting to keep taxes down always been #1 priority (hmm how much did axes go up last 5 years?
-Traffic- Widening rt 9 only option working with many local and state officials no band aid solutions (heard this 20 yrs ago)
Township committee- Aisik Akerman (getting the vote regardless of the vaad)
-School board- blames state for funding formula we need a STRONG board...bla
Ballot question #3 Vaad breaks from policy says vote NO
Igud appoints 2 write in candidates for BOE empty slots.

  3. The Township is paying 1.6 million dollars to fund courtesy busing for the public school children. tax payers opposed using any more tax money to fund busing. Many private schools students dont have mandated busing. What has the Vaad or Igud done here.

  4. Vaad members keep their own taxes down with tax exempts and tax breaks for themselves. Everyone else is getting priced out of their homes and cant pay their monthly mortgage.

  5. What Chutzpa of the Vaad to say they are here for the kehilla when at the same time a Vaad member fought and opposed a shul. To this day Minyan Avreichim on 10th and Clifton sits empty.

    1. What's wrong with fighting a shul? Should every yungerman be entitled to build a shul in my backyard?

  6. Vaad is no cross section of the kehilla there is no representation for more than half the town. Its members are all anonymous the letter from the Roshe yeshiva is outdated from 4 years ago.

    1. "Half the town"? What half of the Town do they represent? The only people who follow them, are people who don't know any better.

Give these people, who follow the vaad another 5 years in Lakewood and they will realize that they were tools.

  7. An old boys club self appointed 25 years ago still has the audacity to insult the sheeple and tell them what to do and who to vote for. Taxes went up over $4,500 in the last ten years alone how dare they ignore everything and point fingers at everyone else. This vaad should be dismantled and replaced by a newly elected vaad that is appointed by the entire town with transparency openness and no conflicts of interest. Speak to any Rav in town they will all tell you their real opinion of the self appointed lakewood vaad where some members have been profiting off their powerful position

  9. So the vaad thinks voting yes on ballot question 2 will get the state to widen the 9. Talk about pulling the wool over the Sherpa eyes.
