Evergreen kosher to open soon in Lakewood

Construction is almost done at Evergreen plaza on rt 9 south in Lakewood, bringing another quality supermarket to town. Evergreen currently has its flagship store in Monsey, NY. this will be the 3rd major kosher supermarket to open in Lakewood this year. The store is expected to open some time after Yom Tov. While these stores have great prices on Sale items, overall food prices have not gone down much across Lakewood.

  1. They haven't gone down because there's no competition to Npgs in pricing (everyday pricing, not sale items) .... Not Talking about shopping experience, just pricing. No one beats Npgs. Fact.

  2. all these new supermarkets are more expensive then NPGS

The only other supermarket that would be cheaper but Lakewood wouldn't let them open up cause they would put NPGS out of business is Moishes & KRM in boro park they are same owner & much cheaper then NPGS

I call this corruption, this is a free country & anyone should be allowed to open a business where they want to.

    2. Binik was taken to a din torah in front of maysharim by certain grocery store owners and maysharim said he cant open. I heard this from moishe binik himself. He gave me two names of the grocery owners. One took him to the din torah and the other bankrolled it but wasn't a party in the din torah.

I asked him why he lost and he said the fix was in before he even showed up. He further said that had he known how lakewood worked he would have responded that he would only go to mechoin leharah in monsey. But he mistakenly assumed......

    2. I guess you're part of the Shul opposers with a guilty conscience if you felt the need to put in the jab about getting in a Westgate reference

    3. No hrs not an opposer. Everybody just feels that either you put in your application or keep quiet. If you apply and get turned down ,its one thing. But if you don't have the guts to apply then .....

    4. You are clueless as to what the facts are regarding the WG issue. The shul applied 5 times only to be met with fierce opposition from the Members of BM of westgate. They hired a lawyer to oppose they collected for the legal fees but put the lawyer under the name of a goy living on Prospect where one of the ropshits mispalelim keeps his trucks for his landscaping business. The bottoom line is all shuls in westgate are jammed with no room for people to daven. but kinah sinah and gaavah leads even the chashuvim to forget there is a eibishter.

    5. You keep avoiding the issue. Just put in the application. Don't pull back. Lets see if the board really turns you down. You never followed through and let the board vote on the application. Until you actually get turned down ,nobody will have rachmonus on you.

    6. Please do everyone a favor and keep quiet if you obviously have no clue what went on! You'll look a lot smarter if you keep quiet!

    7. NO ypou are the one who keeps on spining and lying.
First get the ropshitz mob to drop the lawyer.
second, we know that members of the planing board were reach out to prior the hearing by westgate vaad members, the board kept and pushing the application down the road trying to stall and shift it to the zoning board, to bais din and to avoid the issue. Untill there is a clear letter from the Rabbonim in westgate telling everyone not to show up and oppose and to drop the lawyer, it will be a black stain on all those involved including rabbonim, roshei mosodos, magidei shiurim, askanim and anyone who had the chutzpah to go against a clear and cut psak din.

    8. But at the shabbos shuva drasha not a word about achdus!
Not a word about letting others build a shul!
Not a word about an ongoing machlokes!
Only to greet everyone with a smile ( easy to do after you killed them and fought against them in court stopping a shul)
and of course no talking Lashon Hora.

    2. Why are you so selfish? Just because you have a place to daven doesn't everyone else deserve one? The sarcasm of your remark was very uncalled for.
