  1. The movement to Take Back Lakewood is continuing full steam ahead with this posted being hung in 200 shuls in Lakewood Erev Sukkos. If you didn;t see it in your shul it probably means that a scared developer in your shul (who realizes that the house of cards is crashing down) ripped it down before Yom tov. http://tinypic.com/r/2gy1r3d/9

Our website has gotten approx 2,500 views so far. www.takebacklakewood.com
If you send a text to 40404 saying Follow @takebackLKWD you will receive a text when we tweet for example a reminder before an upcoming meeting etc.

At the Planning board meeting next Wednesday October 26th we selected 6 applications totaling 65+ houses using a combined 28 variances!! These can easily be stopped if the public makes their voice heard and this will send a strong message to developers that times are changing and they can no longer do whatever they want. See here for the detail on the requested variances. It's mind boggling that all this stuff has been slipping through with approval after approval for all these years.

If you've been waiting for that moment when you can actually do something positive to help our town and stop that destruction that is being wrought on our infrastructure - here is your chance!!

  2. And that's why nothing will change.. You are anonymous and everyone is scared to do anything in public . As the choice is fight corrupt housing and have your children's future and your livelihood destroyed by the members of the "unholy alliance". Alternatively, sit in traffic for an average of 60 minutes a day and hope your not one of the 10 daily accidents caused by the Lakewood destruction committee road planning, but at least once your blood pressure returns to normal levels, your kids are in a school and your allowed to walk the streets of this town.

There is way way too much money for the askanim to allow this too happen.

Hate to be the nearer of bad news. If 25 people are willing to put their name on it and rally others then definitely there will be a temporary lull, otherwise it will stay right here

    1. The difference is that the entire community is fed up about this and when dozens of people all get up to speak at once...and then more and more people get up...they can't excommunicate the whole community.....
