  2. on friday, it took me over 20 minutes to drive on clifton from 6th st. to main st. a downtown skyscraper would be a DISASTER for downtown. this is ten times worse than the bais horaah story.

    1. Sorry. This is what the Township committee and master plan wants. I'm going to let them have their way. There is another building three times the size of mine that will be going up on 1st street. I tried to revitalize the downtown to be what it should be, a proud shopping attraction that is both a local hub and tourist attraction. I spent years and invested my own time effort and money only to be stopped every step of the way. I give up. This building will forever be a symbol of my failed efforts. Kishmir plaza will be a magnificent building albeit not what I had in mind for the downtown, but something that I was given no choice in building thanks to our leaders and those that were dead set on ignoring zoning laws.

    1. The actual Store now is on four separate levels. Total of 11000 sf of retail space and 4000 of office and storage. Hopefully we can build a more accessible store with elevators that will total 17000 sf including storage. Offices upstairs would be for our web and wholesale business and we will rent what we do not use. The traffic issue getting through downtown is not due to offices or increased retail, I wish that were the case. We all know what causes the traffic snarl at 145 and 330.are you going to do something about it? No. So shhhhhhh.

    2. traffic is not just between 145-330, and not just because of bais horaah and bmg. traffic is primarily due to the retail stores/offices, and thats why traffic is only during retail hours.are you going to do something about it? No. I thought you always have all the gitteh eitzes

    3. I wish the downtown traffic was due to retail stores. If that were true all the retailers wouldn't be moving out. If it were true than it is good that we have traffic. That is what a downtown should have. If you can't get down Clifton you can turn off at 4th street and cut through a series of connected parking lots that will take you all the way to main street with little or no wait .

    4. Offices are occupied all day. They cause little traffic. As far as tires are concerned, perhaps you are right. We should have all stores closed down and purchase everything online. Oh but then ups trucks will cause more traffic. Let me work on it. Perhaps I should close my toy store down to alleviate the traffic on the street.

  4. Hh true colors coming out. Had you been voted in long ago you would have been the one everyone would be complaining about.

    1. I can assure you had I been voted in long ago you would not be spending most of your day in traffic. 8 years ago I spoke at the first smart growth meeting. I said I am not going to oppose your plans because you won't listen to me anyway. I said this is not called smart growth. Smart Growth starts by fixing what is broken before you start adding on to your town. Perhaps you would be complaining about me for other things, but you definitely wouldn't be wasting a big part of your life in traffic.
